Large, enclosed, lawned garden with picnic table. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are steps and slopes in the garden and the driveway is shared. . Craegard House is a traditional red sandstone detached house with sea views across the Firth of Clyde. The property sits within a large enclosed garden where guests can relax and enjoy the views. Behind the house is Craigard Cottage (UKA407) which sleeps four guests and has been renovated in the same style as the house.
The property is fresh and bright and has been furnished to provide all the comforts you need for your holiday. A wood burner in the kitchen and living/dining room provide an attractive focal point and a cosy feel for the cooler evenings. The living/dining room overlooks the front garden and across to the sea. This allows guests to dine together with a view. There is one bedroom and shower room on the ground floor, which could be suitable for guests with limited mobility. The bedrooms all provide plenty of storage and still have their original fireplace recesses. The upstairs bedrooms have a sea view and are very spacious. The bathroom upstairs has a roll-top bath which is a great way of relaxing after a day’s walking. Outside the property there is a picnic table for guests to use and the large garden is fully enclosed. The garden has a tiered area at the top with steps leading down to the flat grassed area. This is a great place for children and all the family to enjoy some outside fun together. The entrance porch and utility room provide space for storing outdoor gear.
For walking enthusiasts the property is situated close to the Corrie route to the summit of Goatfell and other walking trails. If you enjoy looking for wildlife, seals and otters can often be seen from the windows and the occasional basking shark. Craegard House is located in the peaceful village of Corrie which has a children’s play park and a hotel serving food and drink and offers regular live music. The main village on the island, Brodick is just 6 miles away.
Craegard House can be booked together with Craigard Cottage (UKA407) to accommodate up to 10 guests.
