Only a couple of minutes drive to the village of Blackwaterfoot with shops, restaurants, beach, play park and golf club. One of the most southerly Scottish Isles, Arran encapsulates the grandeur and majesty of Scotland but all packaged within an accessible area 19 miles long by 10 miles wide. The island has a scattering of pretty villages on Arran’s stunning coastline which are contrasted by a rugged and mountainous interior in the north. This is a natural paradise with sightings of red squirrels, golden eagles, red deer, otters and seals.
For outdoor lovers Arran offers mountain biking, paragliding, canyoning, sea kayaking, scrambling and more, you can even book an island safari!
