Approached via a private driveway meandering through the owners’ land you are promised a peaceful countryside escape, yet only be just over two miles from the market town of Bideford with its shops, pubs and restaurants, while the golden sandy beach, awarded Blue Flag status at Westward Ho! and the sand dunes at Instow are both a 5 miles. Couples can enjoy excellent walking or cycling along the Tarka Trail or visit the house and gardens at Tapely Park, RHS Rosemoor in Torrington is just 6 miles away, and the delightful former fishing village of Appledore and the cliffside village of Clovelly with its cobbled streets, are both worth a visit too. Alternatively, just enjoy the tranquillity at the property where you can watch the Alpacas or enjoy a drink and a bite to eat at the local pub 1 mile.
This adorable reverse-level barn set within the rolling Devon countryside is a delight, and on entering via external stone steps find yourself in the open plan living space which has a well-equipped kitchen area dining table and chairs, comfy seating, Smart TV and DAB radio. Heading down the stairs to the sleeping accommodation a king-size bed awaits and an adjacent shower room with WC.
Outside you have a small yet private courtyard area with seating and views over the surrounding fields which often have sheep, or the owners Alpacas which you can help to feed pet by arrangement. Your four-legged friends will love the adjacent paddock where they can run off lead. Glorious views can also be enjoyed from the grounds, all in all a superb central location to explore North Devon at any time of year.
