From the start we had to chase for simple things like check in instructions and the address of the apartment, only getting any acknowledgment of our letting on the evening before we travelled. When we arrived the carpets were stained heavily, the master bedroom carpet is patched with entirely different carpet in two places, the blinds in the lounge have fallen off (the apartment is heavily overlooked so you have no privacy at night from the other apartments in the block). Upon further inspection the sofa was heavily stained and there was previous people’s food left in the fridge and only a couple of squares of toilet paper in either bathroom. We then noticed that there was a plate of old food left in the microwave, going off and stinking. We ordered takeout and then realised there were no forks in the cutlery draw. Sitting at the dining table we noticed it had a board across one side so you couldn’t put your legs under, it turned out to be a repurposed desk! All the utensils that were there were dirty. As it was late October things got a little chilly in the evening so we went to turn the heating on. None of the controls in any room had power so we checked the utility cupboard and the heating was heavily in debt and had been turned off at the mains.
In addition after the first night the lifts in the apartment block stopped working entirely.
We slept ok and the location was near the excel for a the event we attended but other than that definitely NOT a “luxury” apartment.
