The house is located a few steps from the white granite cliffs and the small gravel beaches that characterize the coast of Pomonte, a seaside resort on the Costa del Sole, south-west of the Island of Elba.

The Sax Soprano is on the first floor of the 2-storey building, where we already rent the ground floor apartment, Il Sax Tenore.
The Soprano was completely renovated in 2024, with all new systems, new flooring and modern bathrooms. It also has a cutting-edge solar thermal system for domestic hot water, with immediate arrival of hot water and thermal storage of approximately 250 liters (assisted by an electric resistance for any periods with little sun)

In Sax Soprano you will have spectacular sea views from all rooms, including the large balcony that runs along almost 2 complete sides of the house. There are 2 bedrooms, one of which is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with window, the other can optionally be used as a bedroom with 2 single beds or can be joined as a double bed depending on the guests' preference. There is the possibility of also inserting a cot or camping bed for very small children in order to have a maximum capacity of 4 + 1 newborn.
The apartment has all the comforts, air conditioning in the 3 habitable rooms, brand new fully equipped designer kitchen with modern induction hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave.
Washing machine for everyday needs.
The living area has a comfortable sofa with TV with Tivusat, Amazon Firestick, free WIFI.
A large table allows 4 to have lunch and dinner in front of the window and the entrance French door with a wonderful view of the sea, nature and the red Marseille tiled roofs characteristic of coastal Tuscany.
The apartment expands its usable outdoor space with a large balcony overlooking the sea, with deckchairs for relaxing in the open air, in the sun or in the shade of a shady pergola, a further small table for those who prefer to eat outdoors.
Being in a granite-paved pedestrian street, there is no private car parking, however nearby there are free public car parks where you can leave your vehicle unlimitedly and without worries. If the need for a private parking space is essential, there is the possibility of renting it not very far from the house.
Animals are welcome as long as they are used to apartment life, in the number and size permitted.

In Pomonte you will have many wonders to appreciate, but if this is not enough from here you can quickly reach beaches, coves, towns and paths that will encourage you to return year after year like many other guests now, because on Elba you will always have something again to discover and savor.

Pomonte is a small and characteristic seaside village located on the western coast of the Island of Elba, recently called Costa del Sole, which from the slopes of Monte Capanne lies on the sea, discovering a coast characterized by rich biodiversity and conformation. Pomonte is a picturesque town divided between the sea and the mountains which form a precious backdrop to the wonderful valley of the same name rich in vine terraces, ditches and streams.
The main attraction of Pomonte is the wreck of the Elviscot, a merchant ship that sank in 1972 near the Ogliera rock. Just 160 meters away from the shore, it can be easily reached by swimming and offers a thrilling spectacle; the two parts of the wreck lie on a seabed of about 12 metres, but the control cabin reaches almost 2 meters just below the surface. The wreck has been chosen as home to all the local fish and you can enjoy a unique spectacle immersed among hundreds of bream and damselfish in splendid blue water.
THE “WRECK BEACH” is made up of small dark pebbles, is not very large and is largely occupied by a concession facility (from June to September).
THE “SPIAGGIA DELLE SCALETTE” is the easiest to reach in the town, it is made up of light granite gravels of various sizes and is completely free with easy access to the sea even for the youngest children.
The northernmost part of the Pomonte coast is characterized by a large smooth white granite cliff, "IL CALELLO", with slightly sloping seabeds that allow easy descent and ascent from the water.
THE “OGLIERA BEACH” is the wildest and almost always with very few people even in high season, it can be accessed from the provincial road via a path or from the Spiaggia del Relitto itself by walking along the cliff and getting a little wet. It is made up of dark pebbles.
Pomonte is not just the sea, for those who love trekking or for mountain bike experts there are numerous marked paths which, going up the mountains, offer a wonderful view of the entire Tuscan archipelago and Corsica.
In the town there are all the basic necessities shops: food, butcher, pharmaceutical dispensary, ice cream shop, two bakeries, beach and diving clothing, newsagent, tobacconist, three bars, pizza by the slice, kiosk on the beach, a restaurant with terrace on the rocks , a pizzeria restaurant in the interior of the town, three hotels with attached restaurants open to all.
During the summer season, village festivals are also organized where you can find local dishes based on fish or game.
If it is your first time on the Costa del Sole you cannot miss:
The famous sandy beaches of Fetovaia, Seccheto, Cavoli, Sant'Andrea and the very long beach of Marina di Campo. The medieval villages of Marciana and Poggio on the north side, San Piero and Sant'Ilario to the south. Marciana Marina, a pretty town with a tourist port and Marina di Campo, larger towns where most of the island's nightlife is located and all kinds of shops for shopping.
If you don't intend to ferry the car, it is still recommended to rent a scooter or a car directly in Portoferraio or Marina di Campo because moving around Elba by bus is not very easy given that there are very few routes and none evening.
Animals on the Island of Elba find a particularly hospitable place, also based on regional legislation, which provides for free access for pets in all public places as long as they are kept on a leash.
