A peaceful haven in the bustling city of Amsterdam


The apartment is located on the third floor of a quiet part of the popular Pijp neighbourhood. It is walking distance from the Albert Cuyp market, and many great eateries and cafés for which this area is known for.

It's an ideal location to discover the city, enjoying the benefits of living the local life but also having a
quick and easy connection to the city center and museum area.

The apartment is located 20 minutes away from the airport, and you will be able to reach the heart of the city in 20 minutes by foot, and even less by public transport. The museum district is 15 minutes away.

Public transport is available nearby and it is also possible to rent bicycles at the end of the street. Boat tours are available from the canal which is right next to the accommodation.

The Space:

The residence occupies a bustling local neighbourhood, adored by visitors and residents alike. It combines easy access to the city with an authentic, laid back vibe.

Spread across 37 square meters and beautifully presented throughout, the private rooms make a luxurious base for a family or a couple. The rooms are stylish, each equipped with attractive fixtures, storage space and contains two single sofas/beds.

You will enjoy your private living quarters including a bathroom/toilet, living room and bedroom, but the entrance to the apartment, and the hallway are shared.

The facilities include internet, Netflix TV, coffee machine, Kettle, a fridge, a microwave and cutlery. There are also many food take away possibilities in the area.

This space is certain to leave a lasting impression, the accommodation ensures an unforgettable stay in the Dutch capital.

Keep in mind that the apartment is located on a third floor without elevator. Typical Amsterdam staircases are steep and sometimes daunting for first time visitors.
I will be more than happy to carry your luggage up and down when you check in and out, however.

The apartment is best suited for 2 persons, with the possibility to turn one or both of the living room couches into sleeper sofas if needed, on request.

The apartment is fully non-smoker, and a wholly non suitable place for parties, or loud get togethers, as it is located in a very quiet neighbourhood!

We ask our guests to be mindful of our neighbours and respect the house rules. Please bear this in mind when you book. And do not hesitate to ask if you have any uncertainties. This is most important to us.

Tagging along with the KC Symphony
Let's just say that the host made my stay by far, the best experience with VRBO I've experienced. The property was clean, stocked and in a quiet central location. Julien however is who made the stay exceptional. he always replied and was super helpful. I am a retired French teacher and he made me feel super comfortable using either French or English. But the best part of his support was the "local tips" he provided. From the restaurants, pubs and sites to see, his connection gave me a real feel for Amsterdam. The best tip was recommending a personal friend to give me a canal tour. It was he, Adrian,and I plus the cheese, olives, beer and other hors d' oevures he brought. 3 hrs, + of his history and local knowledge of his native city. He was located within walking distance! I rate this stay as a hidden diamond in the city of Amsterdam!!

Je recommande à 1000%. Nous avons été accueillis comme des princes. L’appartement est un cocon douillet, très calme et décoré avec goût. La literie est très confortable. L'emplacement est idéal. Situé au bord de l'eau, il est proche de toutes les commodités, musées et parcs. On peut tout visiter à pieds ou à vélo (avec un loueur au pied de l’immeuble). Julien est très disponible et adore partager de bonnes adresses qui ne sont pas sur les guides :) Je recommande absolument ce logement. J'espère revenir vite :)

I was born and raised in France, and moved to Amsterdam in the year 2000. Since then I have moved several times and found myself most at home in the Pijp area, in a place that I would love to share with you.

I have traveled a lot through my work as a musician the past 20 years and I have a keen eye for what makes a stay comfortable in a new place. I have rented out part of my apartment the past years and particularly enjoy welcoming guests in the building, it is always a great experience to meet new faces and talk about all the awesome places and things that are to discover in Amsterdam.

Since I live in the building myself, I am also always there to help and give advice in any way possible.

Why they chose this property

I particularly enjoy De Pijp neighborhood for it's vibrant and bustling atmosphere, the fact that it is very near the city center, and yet very much an area where locals live and go about their everyday lives.

What makes this property unique

The part of the Pijp where i live is just shy of the loud and busy streets. It has great and fast connections to the Airport, the city center, and is a walking distance to the RAI exhibition center. I also very much enjoy sleeping in a quiet area!
