About this property
Elegant Brandnew Apartment La Zafferana with Terrace Milano in Navigli area
La Zafferana with furnished terrace
NEW LISTING – Dimora Italia / VOV launches in Milan!
The last word in exclusivity on the legendary Via Tortona
One of the most famous of all streets in the fashion and design heart of Milano!
A prime example of masterful workmanship and Italian style combined, whether you’re visiting for work or pleasure, La Zafferana’s an address to treasure...
Sharing its well-heeled, industrial-chic locale (THE place to be during Milan Fashion Week!) with the likes of the Armani Silos Fashion Museum, MUDEC Museum of Culture (designed by celebrated architect David Chipperfield), the BASE Milano Cultural Centre, an all-too-tempting plethora of boutiques and restaurants (not to mention the headquarters of top designers / brands plus the office of Deloitte!) it’s little wonder the immediate neighbourhood fizzes with Italian energy and innovation.
Created hand in glove with our architectural design partners ArchFlorence, and 100% on point when it comes to looks and luxury, functionality and form, the air-conditioned apartment sleeps 2 (+2) in one-bedroomed accommodation with terrace, on the 1st floor of a handsome building on the eastern section of the ‘via’.
Amiably supported by our locally appointed Dimora Italia Concierge dedicated to ensuring you receive the utmost care and attention throughout your visit, and taking its name from the ingredient Saffron (indispensable in the creation of Risotto Milanese and the principal colour theme of the apartment’s interior), La Zefferana is the synthesis of Dimora Italia’s signature elements set against a quintessentially Milanese backdrop – a sumptuous stay guaranteed...
Reached via the building’s main communal entrance on the ground floor with stairs (no lift) rising to La Zafferana’s entrance on the 1st Floor, accommodation comprises:
The apartment door leading into the entrance hallway
An achingly elegant sitting room overlooking Via Tortona, masterfully furnished in saffron yellow, French navy and salvia green with a pair of beautifully upholstered bespoke sofas with piped edging – one a comfy double sofa bed, which can be made into 2 singles upon request, (note the Dimora Italia ‘windows’ adorning the cushions) – and a splendid pair of silk shell-shaped lamps casting a golden glow onto the exquisite IKSEL ‘Japanese Cranes’ feature wall covering (inspired by Japanese folding screens) and drawing every one of the room’s colour tones together
A perfect space for dining ‘a casa’ or breakfasting on fresh pastries from ‘Pan per Foccacia’ bakery just beyond your door – a gorgeous, handcrafted kitchen / dining room in colours echoing those of the sitting room, well equipped with integrated appliances (including inbuilt wine cooler – most important!), marble worktops with mirrored backdrops, a circular dining suite seating 4 guests and a glazed door leading out to the...
Decked and dual-level furnished terrace to the rear of the building with a private dining area below and a chill-out area above – what a treat after a busy day exploring the world’s design and fashion capital!
Returning indoors we find the fabulous principal bedroom – perfectly matching the sitting room in both elegance and colour, furnished with a beautifully dressed double bed upholstered in fine fabrics and looking out to the front over Via Tortona
And completing La Zafferana’s exceptional accommodation...
A luxurious bathroom flanked externally by mirrored wardrobes with walls of polished marmorino, burnished brass fittings and, last but not least, a marble-encased shower
OUR COMMENT
Sharing top spot on Dimora Italia’s ‘podium of very special places to stay in Italy’ – our very first opening in the city of Milan!
A darling and dazzling city-centre base well worthy of its fine position on one of the most fabled thoroughfares in Italy’s commercial capital.
Not too big, not too small, but just right in proportion, and within moments of a superb variety of bars and restaurants including the well-regarded Quantico directly opposite and La Esse Romagnolo, Enrico Bartolini, Osteria del Binari, Belle Donne Bistrot, God Save the Food, Polpetta Milano (and numerous others!) very close by.
A short stroll to Porta Genova Metro station for underground travel around the city, a well-stocked supermarket ‘Esselunga’ for all your self-catering needs, and garage car parking just a few doors down from the apartment if arriving by car – don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like further details, or require information or assistance if transferring from / to one of our other Italian destinations!
For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organize arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.
