Its beams, allegedly salvaged from shipwrecks on the notorious Doom Bar, bear ancient inscriptions and one the figurehead of a lion. This enchanting property was a favoured retreat of poet laureate Sir John Betjeman, whilst the grounds hide a secret tunnel once used by smugglers to transport their ill-gotten treasures.
Inside, the distinctive living room has one wall carved from the granite hillside, infusing the space with natural charm. It features a large wall-mounted TV, plush seating, and a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings. The dining room, which doubles as an extra living area, also has a wood-burning stove, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The well-appointed kitchen and separate utility room provide all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
