The space
The Space at Dorney Cottage is huge and stunning.
The 30 foot kitchen/dining room was once the Great Hall, with the combination of its high vaulted ceiling, beams, chandelier and wood burning stove makes it a perfect place for all the family to hang out and relax or entertain.
We boast 3 reception rooms - all with different themes. If you want to cosy up in front of the fire, read a book or watch TV, every room caters for all moods. There are two wood burners in the cottage which you're welcome to use and there is also an open fire, but we ask you not to use real logs on those as they spit and create smoke, but very happy for you to use the paper-wrapped logs during your visit for the woodburners or the open fire.
Themed bedrooms - The Crazy Beamed room, sexy and opulent.
The French Room, antique French furniture, cosy and elegant.
The Sleigh Bed room, a rich interior with a snug, cosy atmosphere.
3.5 bathrooms, all with modern plumbing and fixtures.
The house can adapt to accommodate upto 14 guests.
Great for groups, families and children.
The house is part of the prestigious Estate of Dorney Court, its historical charm mixed with modern amenities, makes this a relaxed and comfortable place to stay.
We are positioned a stones throw away from the River Thames with Eton and its Spires situated just across the Common and Windsor Castle just 2 miles away.
With easy links into London, Dorney Cottage makes the perfect location to enjoy all amenities.
A 'Welcome Breakfast Hamper' is included ;
Eggs, bacon, crumpets, bread, milk, butter.
We have a dry store of essentials ;
Cereal, sugar, tea, coffee ( incl decaf), cookies, flour, pasta.
There is a French Press for real coffee lovers and a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine that takes pods. You will be provided with some for your stay, but if you're big coffee drinkers, you may wish to bring some more pods or fresh ground coffee with you.
If you want the ultimate dining experience we can recommend private chefs that will come to the house to cook for you and your family/ friends from as little as £50 a head.
For fine dining there are plenty of great restaurants in Eton and Windsor;
A La Russe, in Eton for great French food.
Mediterranean flavours in a low-lit bistro done out with dark wood floors, tables and wall panels.
Gilbeys Bar and restaurant upmarket modern British. Upscale restaurant/bar with a refined studio and a walled garden, plus views of Windsor Castle.
The Windsor Grill in Windsor offers private dining in its upstairs rooms.
Guest access
We offer a Lockbox self check in from 3pm. If you need to drop off bags before 3pm we can accommodate, but let us know so we can advise.
We can be found just 11 miles from
London Heathrow Airport, and only a few miles from the M4 - the main route in to London.
The house is found behind tall gates and a garden wall in the heart of Dorney Village.
It sits in its own private grounds just across the road from Dorney Court & Dorney Lake.
