About this property

Beautiful two-bedroom stone cottage in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, Pet Friendly

This idyllic two-bedroom stone cottage, built into the hillside, is located on the edge of the Peak District on a charming country lane in the heart of historical Wirksworth.

Built circa 1840, Fryers Cottage retains its original character and features, including a cosy wood-burning stove. The location provides the benefits of both town and country living, with beautiful walking trails and countryside alongside excellent independent restaurants, pubs, shops and galleries.

The cottage is located on 'The Dale' in the centre of the Wirksworth conservation area - just a minute's walk to shops, bars, pubs, restaurants and a wonderful independent cinema whilst also having the stunning Derbyshire Peak District on the doorstep.

The cottage is ideally situated for all the Peak District has to offer, Matlock, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Dovedale, Eyam and Carsington Water are all just a short drive away.
Fryer's Cottage provides:

All bedding, hand towels, bath towels, tea towels, washing-up liquid, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, hand soap, toilet rolls, and hairdryer. The house conforms to the latest fire regulations.

Due to the way the cottage was originally built (with steep stairs), the house is unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility.

The whole of the cottage is for use but it should be noted that there is no outside space (as is common in Wirksworth).
