Great Forest Getaway
My wife and I really enjoyed the patio looking out over a forested valley, the dog run downstairs, and the hot tub of course. The house was easy to get to, comfortable, and stocked with everything needed. This was a great choice and one we would love to return to.

Perfect for a family-everything you need!
Exactly as pictured. Nice upgrades throughout the house. Hot tub and football table were great. Everything you need for cooking/grilling was there. 3-4 miles from ski slope.

The treehouse was a let down!
Overall disappointed with our recent stay. To start off the trip, shortly after checking in, we heard a knock at the door. It was a maintenance guy from the management company, he said he was there to fix an issue regarding the hot water, that a previous renter had mentioned. Shane did his best to address the issue, which involved having to drill out a locked door to get to the water heater because he didn't have the key. The water was a problem the entire time. There was absolutely no pressure whatsoever when using the hot water side of any of the faucets. We mentioned this to Shane and he said that maybe running the water longer would fix the issue. Sadly it did not, we were stuck taking cold showers, thank goodness for the hot tub to help raise our body temperatures. It was also a pain to find out that the fireplace did hot have the gas key, we brought wood but did not have any fire starter, which we then had to go out and buy in the freezing temps on the night we arrived. It would have been nice if the pre move in instructions would have specified, seeing as we got to big bear at the tail end of a big snowy storm. Another pain, was the fact that they only provided 2 bath towels for our entire stay. I have stayed in many VRBO's and have always sufficient amount of towels. Plus there was a vehicle left in the driveway the entire stay from a previous renter. This was pain to have to unload our luggage with all the snow in the driveway and navigate around the car. The biggest irritation, was that fact that they didn't provide any sort of sponge or scrubber to do the dishes....I mean come on how expensive is it to leave behind a sponge. That explained why most of the dishes and utensils were greasy. I would suggest, that the window shades get replaced, as they let in way tooo much light and were in rough condition. For the amount of money we spent, we were left feeling ripped off. This cabin could be so much better, if the owners and management company spent some money doing some needed upgrades and TLC. Destination Big Bear...provide more towels please!

Cabin is Great Overall
The Tree House is great! The cleaning crew, not so much. We arrived to a very messy place, dirty dishes, towels in the wash, trash left etc.... Not the house's fault of course. I would love to stay again and arrive to a clean cabin.
