The Boathouse in Hastings, East Sussex sleeps four guests in two bedrooms.
The Boathouse, a single-storey lodge, consists of an open-plan living area with a Smart TV, electric fire, dining seating four, and a kitchen with amenities including a fridge/freezer, gas hob, oven, microwave, kettle, and toaster. Double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, with a bath, shower over, basin, heated towel rail, WC and a twin, serviced by a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. Outside, there is off-road parking for two cars, an enclosed wraparound decking, and a non-enclosed lawned garden at either side with furniture, shed, and a swinging chair. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included. You’ll find the closest a shop and pub within 0.3 miles. The Boathouse is your East Sussex getaway. Note: The garden is non-enclosed and separate to the property, with steps leading up to the garden area either side, which may be challenging for those who are not sure-footed and agile.

Town: A dale branching off Teesdale, Baldersdale is made up of a small cluster of hamlets and farm dwellings overlooking the reservoirs of Hury, Blackton and Balderhead. Baldersdale came to fame as the home of Hannah Hauxwell, who featured on television in the 1970’s for single-handedly running her farm from her home, which had no running water. 'Hannah's Meadow' is now managed by Durham Wildlife Trust as a nature reserve. The village of Romaldkirk is nearby, one of the most unspoilt villages in Teesdale, with pretty greens, old stone cottages, a beautiful old church and two pubs, The Kirk Inn, and The Rose & Crown at Romaldkirk, the latter of which won AA Pub of the Year for England in 2003 and serves excellent restaurant and bar meals. The area is surrounded by breath-taking Dales countryside and makes an ideal base for walking and touring throughout North Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales, with superb fell, flat and river walks and cycle rides available from the doorstep. The northern Lakes and the cities of Durham and Newcastle are all within easy driving distance, whilst the ancient market town of Barnard Castle, where you will find a magnificent castle, The Bowes Museum, Deepdale Nature Reserve, an excellent golf club and the popular restaurants of Capri and Golden Lion.
