Attractive stone cottage with enclosed garden right by the mill race stream. Walk to the local farm shop 5 minutes away, selling local produce including beers, wines and food, as well as a coffee shop serving delicious coffee and cakes, and a bar. Within walking distance also to the pub, rocky beach and join footpaths from the doorstep. Also in the village for the Summer Months (June - September) the Village is scattered with knitted creations(Yarn Bombing) Then take a gentle stroll on the sandy beach at Fairbourne (3 miles), roam the coastal path or climb Cader Idris (16 miles) in Snowdonia National Park. Enjoy the wildlife and waters of the Mawddach estuary (15.5 miles), board the steam train on the Talyllyn narrow-gauge historic railway (9 miles) or go underground in Corris Slate Mines (18 miles). Take the water taxi from Fairbourne to Barmouth or head to nearby Aberdovey, which offers a championship golf course, water sports activities from the harbour, shops, galleries and eateries. Enjoy culinary delights, independent shops and a host of events, all within 12 miles.
Walk into the hall, hang up your outdoor attire in the coat cupboard and start exploring this gorgeous property. If you are eating in, the kitchen is a lovely space to get creative and is well equipped with all you need to prepare a meal, maybe with local produce purchases. Outside, there is the separate utility with freezer and washing machine. When the meal is ready, walk through to the lounge/diner to the dining table, a perfect setting for everyone to gather round with views over the garden. After dinner, relax on the comfortable sofas, watch your favourites on the Smart TV, and plan your activities. There is also a play area in the bay to keep the children occupied. After a full day out, take a leisurely bath or shower in the bathroom with bath, shower and WC. When ready for bed, there are three lovely bedrooms to choose from, a double with en-suite shower and WC, a double and a room with full-size bunks. All the bedrooms have been designed for a good night’s sleep.
The enclosed garden has a paved patio, picnic bench, fire pit and a charcoal BBQ to make the most of the weather; it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the gentle sound of the old mill race stream. Thee is private parking for two cars at the property and a shed to store your bikes, with space for paddleboards and canoes.
