About this property
Coed Y Celyn Lodge - Four Bedroom House, Sleeps 8
Lying in an idyllic riverside spot just a mile south of the vibrant village of Betws Y Coed, this delightful hideaway makes a fantastic holiday home for families and groups of friends eager to explore the northern fringes of Snowdonia. With a charming range of craft shops, galleries, and friendly pubs, the village also makes a great base for a rich variety of outdoor activities, including walking, climbing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Exploring this stunning area, you can enjoy walks along the Conwy and its main tributaries – the Llugwy, the Lledr, and the Machno, and take in the spellbinding mountains and lush woodlands of an unforgettable part of the breathtaking North Wales landscape.
Driving through the impressive wrought-iron gates, park the car and head into the welcoming ground-floor hall. This leads through to the beautiful lounge, which has a Smart TV, a pretty feature fireplace, and large picture windows offering magnificent views. The lounge is divided into two main spaces, with a cosy snug at one end. The ground floor also has the first of the property’s four stylishly co-ordinated bedrooms: a relaxing double with a TV and en-suite bathroom. Heading up the first flight of stairs, there’s a charming first-floor double bedroom with a lovely shower room. Returning to the ground floor, a second staircase leads you down to the spacious lower ground floor. Here you will find a handsome formal dining room perfect for enjoying celebratory meals together. This leads through to the light-filled conservatory which has plenty of seating and a football table, making an ideal spot for younger or more competitive guests. From the dining room, head through to the stylishly arranged country-style kitchen with a sociable central breakfast table and French doors leading to the garden. This floor also features a useful utility cupboard and a beautiful king-size bedroom with a Smart TV, French doors to the garden, and a gorgeous en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath, jet shower and sauna. The final bedroom is a cheerful twin room with a refreshing en-suite bathroom.
From the lower ground floor you can step out into the generous garden which has a big lawn with mature trees and established borders. There’s a handy bench offering delightful views over the fenced-off river, alongside a pair of charming dining areas. The first is a paved patio near the kitchen, with a BBQ and plenty of outdoor furniture. A few steps lead up from the garden path to the second dining space: a paved and slate patio area with feature stone building and lighting, providing a relaxing spot to unwind together in the evenings. Private parking is available for three cars, with ample space in the garden to store bikes and canoes.
