Secluded Creek Cabin Located on the Bourbeuse River
This a working historical farm property from the 1850's with River Cabins on the Bourbeuse River. It ws first established by Deitrich Voss as a grist mill though sadly the mill has since burned to the ground and is gone forever. The beautiful stone house remains and is visible from the cabins on the river. I love to talk about the history of the property and am happy to share it with any guest who asks. It's all very scenic and quiet. These cabins have "outdoor showers" and outhouses. There are no indoor bathroom facilities. That said, the cabins are very comfortable and cozy with full kitchens and nice decor, a/c and heated water. You'll feel like you're staying in a lovely hotel room with camping amenities.. There's so much to do in the area for those who seek some adventure. We have canoeing at the outfit across the way, great fishing out your backdoor, hiking and all kinds of antiquing and wineries to visit. Very small town and quaint. This property is unique, a once in a lifetime experience to share with family and friends.

A group of friends rented all three cabins for a bachelorette party and what a perfect stay! The cabins are clean and adorable. The proximity to the river outfitter could not be better we will definitely return!
My son and I stayed at the property for our annual river trip. We like to stay at unique rural places. Our host, Jennifer was very responsive and is involved with helping rescue animals and we enjoyed meeting her three dogs and feeding the donkey's, horses and pot-belly pigs... Very clean property and a great water sound from the dam that is close by. Excellent stay and we intend to go back!
We just wanted to get out of town and be close to the river for a couple days. The cottage was very clean and cute. The bathrooms and showers are outside but very clean. The river is steps away and there’s a nice swimming spot just there and plenty of space. It was perfect for what we wanted!
It was the perfect place to relax and spend time catching up with old friends. We cooked great meals, laughed around the campfire, floated the river, and fed the pigs on the property . The cabins had everything we needed and they were very clean. Thank you Jennifer and Andy for taking such good care of us. We will be back!
This is our second time down to the cabins. And they do not disappoint. First year we did a getaway just ourselves, we loved it so much we brought our family back. Definitely will be back again next year!
