The ground floor features a cosy sitting room, a dining room, a kitchen, and a bathroom with both a bath and a shower. Upstairs, you'll find the two bedrooms and a small landing area.
The cottage is designed for year-round comfort. The charming sitting room offers seating for relaxing after a day out. The room includes a 32” television with a Humax digital terrestrial TV set-top box, a Now TV box for streaming channels, a Blu-ray/DVD player with a film library, and an internet radio with Bluetooth input for playing music from your own devices. Additionally, there is a selection of books, board games, card games, and jigsaw puzzles.
The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, kettle, and cafetière. A full range of utensils, pans, and serving dishes are also provided. The dining room features recycled and vintage items, including a solid oak kitchen table and upcycled chairs. Seating six, the dining table is perfect for entertaining if you’d like to invite friends over for the evening. The room has views of the garden, and a highchair is also available.
The double bedroom offers views of the garden from a window seat. The room includes a standard double bed, a chest of drawers, and wall-mounted hanging space for clothes. The second bedroom, a super king-sized can be converted into twin beds. The room includes a large chest of drawers, a built-in cupboard, and wall-mounted hanging space for clothes. An easy-to-assemble Nuna Sena travel cot is also available.
A highlight of the home, the garden is set in a picturesque spot, with the surrounding valley and village being a haven for wildlife. Enjoy outdoor dining on our table and chairs set, which seats six, or relax on the wooden garden bench. The garden is fully fenced, but larger dogs might be able to jump over in certain areas.
St Mawgan is a picturesque village nestled in the wooded Lanherne Valley, near the North Cornwall Coast. The River Menalhyl runs through the village, which is home to the popular Falcon Inn - a traditional village pub with a roaring fire, wooden beams, and an award-winning garden. The village also has a shop, tearoom, and a Japanese garden.
The cottage is just a 5-minute drive or a 35-minute walk to Mawgan Porth. This stunning sandy beach, surrounded by cliffs, offers rock pools, fantastic surfing, and great sandcastle-building opportunities. The beach is also dog friendly. Lifeguards patrol this award-winning beach, which also features an excellent beach shop, restaurants, and a pub. Mawgan Porth is close to Watergate Bay, Bedruthan Steps, and Padstow, with nearby opportunities for horse riding, surfing lessons, kayaking, and coasteering.
