Such a peaceful, beautiful property with amazing views. Michael was a friendly host and made our stay easy. Would be nice to have some blinds so you aren’t blasted by the sun early in the morning. Other than that lovely place.
The title pretty much sizes everything up. Peaceful, quiet, and a wonderful location. The Cottage is spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed drinking wine and and having our meals on the little balcony, looking out at the water.
We were visiting my oldest son who lives in Lacey. My youngest son and I stayed on the property. We had a lot of fun on the beach and my kids loved the paddleboards. The beach is muddy at times and I do mean suck your shoes off muddy. There is a place to wash your shoes off by the front door but best to wait for the tide to come in to play on the beach. The guest house was bigger than I expected. From the outside it looks small but it is nice and open. I had everything I needed appliance wise in the kitchen to cook a meal. The hosts were nice and answered all our questions promptly. The only thing we didn't like or i should say my son didn't like was the bath tub. It was pretty small and had a window right next to it. It didn't bother me one bit but i guess i should mention it since my son really disliked that set up. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again.
The location is very good but it needs more lighting. I had a very difficult time finding the property because the post lamp was very dim and I had to get out of my car to find out if I was in the right location. There is no lighting on the stairs and I had to feel my way with my feet; making it dangerous. I was afraid of falling because I couldn't see the stairs.
We loved the view and quiet of the woods. We would have liked another comfortable chair in the living room. There was only one couch directly in front of the TV. When I read and my husband watched TV it was difficult. The outdoor table on the deck was wonderful but the railing was terrifying and unsafe. That needs to be fixed immediately. The picnic area above the house was lovely.
Family including our grandson live close. We used the property to retreat to and enjoy visits from our grandson during these COVID times. Property was serene, accommodations were great. Enjoyed spacious layout, kitchen and supplies (only dishwashing pods in short supply). The bath, living space and bedroom were well equipped. Enjoyed unique view of property & bay from bath tub. Views were spectacular from deck during full moon. Deck railing was a little shaky but easy enough to avoid once discovered. Surprised at oyster shell litter all up & down the beach but still great walks on the beach admiring Madronas and one huge Oak tree growing right up to beach. as well as neighbors dog who joined our grandson during those walks . Property owner was congenial and informative giving us a little history of the property and houses he built. All in all a great retreat for us close to our daughter and grandson. Would be great to do it again.
We loved our stay here-the peaceful setting, the beach & loved going out on the canoe & paddle board. We have family in the area and hope to be back. We would stay here again!
Very cozy amongst the large fir trees, nice views and access to part of Puget Sound. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Suited me and my needs for the trip perfectly.
We stayed here the weekend before dropping our daughter off at college. We all enjoyed the location and view, and will be back!

We love the setting. It is a jewel!
What makes this property unique
The view is incredible with easy access to the water. We are in South Puget Sound and there is a lot of wildlife in the area; eagles, ducks, geese, seals, otters...
