About this property
St Helens Beach Retreat
Nestled in a location that seamlessly blends coastal beauty with historic charm, this airy lodge offers the perfect escape for families or groups of friends seeking peace and tranquillity. Surrounded by lush trees and the gentle sound of the sea, it provides an idyllic retreat on the Isle of Wight. Just a short stroll away lies St. Helens Duver (1 mile), a National Trust site renowned for its scenic walking trails and birdwatching opportunities, with stunning views stretching across the Solent. History enthusiasts will enjoy exploring the remnants of St. Helen's Old Church (1 mile), affectionately known as the "pepperpot," perched on the shoreline. St. Helens Beach, less than 500 meters from the lodge, beckons with its sandy shores for a laid-back day, ideal for picnics and family outings.
As you approach this charming lodge, a series of steps leads you to a spacious decking area, setting the stage for your delightful retreat. Upon entering, you'll be welcomed into a contemporary open-plan space that combines a lounge, kitchen, and dining area. The kitchen, complete with integrated appliances and a stylish island with bar stools, ensures a seamless cooking experience. The lounge invites relaxation with its cosy electric fire, TV and plush seating, all enhanced by large windows that flood the space with natural light and offer picturesque views of the surrounding greenery. The lodge's sleeping quarters are just as inviting. They feature a charming double bedroom with an en-suite and walk-in wardrobe, and a twin bedroom that exudes warmth and comfort. A utility room and a separate, well-appointed bathroom serve the rest of the lodge, ensuring convenience for all guests.
Step outside onto the elevated deck, where you can catch glimpses of boats gliding through the harbour. This outdoor haven is perfect for unwinding on balmy evenings, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature.
