Home from Home (we’d like to think so)
We have owned the apartment since 2007, but have recently renovated it to an exceptional standard throughout. It was prepared for our son to come and live there, but, for work reasons, he has chosen to stay on in Madrid for the moment.
The apartment is very spacious and has a light airy feel, ideal for relaxing living. We have also installed ducted air-conditioning to make our guests really comfortable all year round.
Perhaps one of the most notable features in our beautiful apartment is the private terrace which retains a high degree of privacy and has an awning to draw across for shade. There is even a second bright red drinks fridge in the laundry area (which doubles as a kitchen for outside)
If you don't fancy a BBQ or Paella (equipment is provided for both) out on the terrace, but still want to cook, then you'll be pleased to know the kitchen is fully equipped with Oven, Microwave, Induction Hob, Dishwasher and even an airfryer. You can enjoy a snack on the "floating" breakfast bar or dine in style around the dining table. The kitchen is open to the living area, a must for everyone to be able to enjoy their holiday; even the chef!
There are four bedrooms, each of them doubles (one is a twin, but the beds can easily be moved together to provide a super king)
One of the bedrooms has its own en-suite facilities whilst the other three share the two remaining bathrooms.
Parking in any of the villages along the coast is always tricky, particularly on a primarily pedestrian road, so we have a free dedicated parking space in a gated carpark for our guests use during their stay, just 150m away.
Calle Mayor, which is akin the High St in the UK is right in the centre of the town close to the Town Hall, the Theatre and the Casa de Cultura, making it an ideal spot from which to explore the area on foot or by car. The beach which, in our opinion, is the best along the Costa Del Azahar and Costa Blanca coastlines is just a half hour flat walk through the orange groves or you can take one of the buses that make the journey on a regular basis if you don't feel the need to stretch your legs.
The apartment is on the second floor of a very pretty traditional Spanish village home, but is not suitable for those who may be uncomfortable with stairs.

We are a British couple who moved to Spain in 2000 and have brought up our children here. We have been familiar with the area since 1988 when our parents/in-laws came to Spain and have worked and lived in the area now for a quarter of a century. We do, of course, speak the Spanish fluently, although perhaps not as well as we should (our kids are like native speakers). Janice is a teacher and Carl is a retired Estate Agent (you shouldn't hold that against him; he was/is one of the nicer ones!)
We would love to welcome you to the "our" area and are sure that you will enjoy the region with its fabulous beaches, wealth of history and diversity and appetising gastronomy.

Why they chose this property
Oliva is a cosmopolitan town where all nationalities are welcomed by the locals. It stands just a few minutes from the Beach which is, in our opinion, the best beach along the whole of the Costa Azahar (The Orange Blossom Coast) and the Costa Blanca - 11km of pristine sand for the most part backed by natural dunes. Night life per se is limited, so it panders to those who would rather a holiday away from noisy bars and night clubs etc. If you want that then we would recommend a trip to Gandia (only 8 miles away) or Benidorm (around 40 minutes drive). It is well served by both Alicante and Valencia Airports which are more or less equidistant (about 60 minutes to either) So just choose the most convenient flight and you're on your way.

This is no ordinary rental property; it has been renovated to the highest standards throughout (walls, floors, ceilings, kitchens, bathrooms, appliances etc. etc.) to provide a truly memorable (for the right reasons!) stay.
It is rare to find a beautiful apartment in a traditional street with a wonderful tranquil terrace that is well shielded from prying eyes, providing the perfect setting for your home made paella or bbq.
We have owned our apartment since 2007, but in 2024 we decided to fully renovate it as we were hoping that our son would move back from Madrid to be close by once more. For the moment, his work is keeping him in Madrid so we have decided to rent the property to holidaymakers so that all of our efforts don't go to waste.
