This property is exactly as advertised -- cute, comfortable and clean. We traveled with three sons (25,19 and 17) for Comic-Con and to sightsee for a few days. We'd stayed in Hillcrest before, so we knew we'd love the neighborhood. Anything we needed was within walking distance, and Ubers were quick to respond anytime we ventured farther out.
We had traveled from Pittsburgh so were exhausted after so many hours on the move, and Jane let us drop off our bags while the housekeepers finished their work from the previous guests. We killed a few hours with lunch, then Jane texted to tell us we could check in 2 hours early. It's a little thing, but it was so appreciated!
Each of the boys had their own rooms, and two of them shared the downstairs bath. They were happy for their privacy, and so was I! The house was immaculate, the kitchen had all the basics, and the master BR and LR had great smart TVs set up with Hulu, Netflix, etc. It was the perfect place to rest and unwind between adventures.
The neighborhood is ordinarily quiet and peaceful, too. I can't recommend it highly enough. The only downside for us was something that was clearly beyond Jane's control: There was a huge sewer and water construction project literally outside our front door that started with jackhammers and trucks at 7 a.m. Fortunately, we are early risers, and the boys sleep like the dead, so it didn't bother us too much, but if you're staying anytime soon and are NOT an early riser, I'd recommend checking with Jane to make sure the work has been completed.
We loved it here and will definitely seek it out next time we visit San Diego!
