About this property
Stable View Barn - log burner & dog friendly
Getaway to this perfect rural retreat in a quiet welcoming village and enjoy quality time with your loved one and your pooch. Snuggle up in front of the cracking fire or step outside and cozy up under the stars.
Stable View Barn is located on a farm and is perfectly situated to overlook the horses, sheep and wonderful gardens. Make memories and escape to the countryside to explore the fantastic dog walking and cycling routes directly from the property.
Stable View Barn is idyllically nestled in the picturesque Nottinghamshire countryside with an array of wildlife, walks, and stunning sunsets on the doorstep, but with the sights and sounds of the nearby towns of Bawtry and Tickhill. There are fascinating adventures, day trips, cities and beaches, just a short drive away.
The beautifully appointed converted barn accommodation offers you seclusion, luxurious comfort, and that elusive get-away-from-it-all appeal with your wonderful hounds.
There is private, on-site parking and a detailed welcome pack to make your arrival as easy and smooth as possible. Stable View is a dog friendly, ground floor barn with an open plan kitchen, dinning and lounge where you can enjoy the little luxuries on arrival from the welcome hamper. These includes fresh homemade baked bread & scones, a bottle of bubbly, crisps, biscuits, bottled water and butter. There is also a Tassimo coffee and hot chocolate machine with a variety of pods available to try.
The barn has a fully fitted kitchen with an oven, induction hob, air fryer and microwave to allow you to cook your favourite supper or little treats for a romantic picnic.
You can enjoy watching your doggies running around in the secure private garden while you enjoy a cup of tea from the comfort of the outdoor garden furniture on the patio. There is an abundance of wildlife including pheasants, rabbits and if you are lucky the roe deer will stroll by.
There is one large, light filled bedroom with views over the fields and a luxurious bath & walk in power shower with cozy dressing gowns to snuggle up in.
You will also have access to the boot room & dog shower to make washing muddy paws a breeze after all the adventures on the numerous footpaths available nearby through fields, along rivers and canals.
For the colder winter nights you can snuggle up, watch a Netflix film, read a book or play board games in front of the crackling log burner. Or you can enjoy watching the sun setting and the stars shinning while you cuddle up under a blanket and plan your adventurers for your stay with a hot chocolate or a little nightcap.
Walkeringham is a beautiful, rural, countryside village with so much to offer, but with dog friendly pubs, cafes & ice cream parlours, bars, restaurants and takeaways only a short drive away.
A little further afield you can enjoy day trips to the dog friendly beaches of Moggs Eye and Anderby Creek or visit Doddington Hall, Clumber Park or the Welbeck Estate. If you are a little more adventurous there is Grove House Equestrian Centre, Retford Lawn Tennis Club, Styrupp Hall Golf Club and even Go Ape at Sherwood Pines. The Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Doncaster Race Course and Doncaster Dome are less than 30 minutes away.
Guest Access:
You can enter the Walkeringham village via the tree lined road of Fountain Hill which leads to West Moor Road where the holiday cottage is located. The barn has it's own private entrance, garden and all the amenities you could need.
