An outstanding property in an excellent location
There is nothing not to like about this apartment. For one, it is beautiful - one is tempted just to relax and gaze at the art on the walls and listen to the church bells, the birds, and other ambient sounds. And, in fact, if one wanted to do just that, it would be easy to do, as there is a full kitchen and spacious dining area. But, of course, most of us go to Rome to do things, and it is well-placed to spend a productive day of sightseeing or of religious pilgrimage and not have to trek miles and miles to get back to one's bed - it is only about a twenty minute walk to St Peter's and a ten minute walk to Piazza Navona, yet, at the same time, the crowds do not overwhelm, as it is on a side street, and the apartment itself is located across a courtyard, away from the main street. To top it all off, it comes with an excellent and conscientious host who is extremely responsive to concerns and does all he can to ensure a good stay. Teutonic in his efficiency, he has produced a veritable encyclopaedia explaining in the most minute detail how each appliance works, and he is very responsive to inquiries. To top it off, there is a small library, most in the English language of books on Rome, not just guide books, but works on Roman history, art, and architecture as well. If you are planning a long stay or just want a day to relax, you will certainly not be bored staying inside. I would highly recommend this place, especially to those traveling with larger family groups.
