Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with lawn, patio, furniture, and shed, and off-road parking for one car plus additional public parking. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Sorry, no smoking at this property. Guests can find a shop and a pub within 0.1 mile. Town: Chinley is a lovely little village nestled in a wonderful rural setting, on the western edge of the Peak District National Park. Popular with walkers, who are attracted by Chinley’s close proximity to Kinder Scout, visitors are well-catered for with the village’s selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Serious walkers will wish to head east from the village, across the green foothills to the russet expanse of Kinder’s moorland plateau for a starting step onto the Pennine Way or Snake Pass. Families and those looking for gentler roaming can venture west along the beautiful Sett Valley Trail towards New Mills with the Torrs Riverside Park, a peaceful place for recreation and relaxation. Within just a short drive are the delightful High Peak villages of Chapel-en-le-Frith, boasting a cobbled marketplace and historic old stocks, and Whaley Bridge, with its canal basin and a good range of local amenities. Just a little further is Castleton, with its famous caverns and Norman Castle, as well as the popular spa town of Buxton, with its fabulous Opera House and Victorian architecture and park.
