Our kitchen is well stocked and has modern appliances. It's a great house for multiple families to share. It's not just convenient to town, it's in town; walk to everything. Leave up to 5 cars in our driveway.

Awesome for large families

We stayed at this spacious Lake Placid home for five days in April 2024 and will forever have the memories of having witnessed the 2024 total solar eclipse on the front porch. While it snowed about a foot before our arrival, the driveway and walkway were cleared to welcome us to the home. We were within easy walking distance from many restaurants, shops and the entire downtown Lake Placid area. Despite being close to other houses on the road, the house felt private and quiet. The house was clean, well stocked and there was plenty of space for five adults and two children. We enjoyed cooking meals together, playing games on the dining table and waking up to the beautiful mountain view. There were mixed reviews on the comfort of the beds, but this comes down to personal preference and overall the accommodations were very comfortable. There was a small rec area downstairs with a huge washer and dryer, which we appreciated. The stairs down to this room are a bit steep, so those traveling with younger kids may want to bring a travel gate. This is a wonderful home for spending time with a large family and visiting the area, so we would highly recommend staying here and hope to return.

Skiing Family

This was our second stay at this lovely home in Lake Placid. It is perfect for us in every way. The location is excellent - a very easy walk into town and close to Whiteface Mountain. We will definitely return.

Great Family Place

We spent 4 days over Christmas with our teenage and adult children here and it was the perfect space. We had just the right amount of rooms and bathrooms without being too separated. We loved being able to walk into the village of Lake Placid and it was a short car ride to skiing at Whiteface. The home was clean and I cooked Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner there for our family of 7 and didn't wish for a dish or utensil - they had everything. It was wonderfully equipped, easy to access, and communication was wonderful. I would certainly rent from them again. We loved our time in Lake Placid.

Amazing place

My family (7 adults, 2 toddlers) stayed here for 4 nights. It was great. The property was very clean and spacious. Even with all of us, we didn't even use the basement area. The location is fantastic - a very short walk from downtown Lake Placid but removed enough were it's in a quiet neighborhood. Just overall a great place. Would very highly recommend.

Perfect location!

The house was a short walk to Main Street. Perfect location. The house itself was great for our family! The owners were very quick to reply to any questions we had. We even locked ourselves out of the house and Brock came to rescue us in 5 minutes! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for letting us stay in your home!!!!

World Cup Ski Jumping

We had seven adults staying at 50 Colden Ave. The hosts gave us excellent instructions about access, the sight description was very accurate and the location was perfect. The house more than met our expectations. 3 bathrooms were great. Sleeping arrangements were perfect. Kitchen was stocked with all the cooking pots and pans necessary.

Great house!

10 of us stayed here to watch my daughter’s World Cup Skeleton race. We had lots of room, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, house was super clean, the kitchen was very well equipped and the owners were on point with communication. We will definitely stay again! TV was great but bring a a Roku or Firestick if you want to cast or stream anything. Don’t hesitate to stay here! Thanks for making our weekend so special! (And my daughter medaled!)

Great place! It was spacious, clean, comfortable and welcoming. We had one of the best weekends Fall could have given us. We utilized the deck area both during the day and evening . Sunny sky’s and unusually warm nights. Kitchen lacked nothing, large fridge, and ample counter space for everyone to prepare their specialties. Looking forward to a return visit next fall…..

Clean and Cozy Downtown Lake Placid Home

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. It was exactly as described. All of the living space was clean and well furnished with comfortable seating! The beds and pillows were great! Great Location and Extremely Clean!

This property was great! It was extremely clean and the beds were super comfortable. This property is located in the center of town (one block from the Olympic Circle), so walking to the eateries or shops is a breeze. The property owners were easy to deal with and available for any questions.

Great spot to rent close to town.

Stayed at this house last weekend. House was clean and had plenty of room for the group of us staying there, including a large deck where we spent most of our nights. It's a short walk to the lake and town and plenty of restaurants/ bars within a 15-20 min walk. Will definitely look to rent here again next time I'm up in Placid.

Perfect Spot

The property was great with a large deck for gathering and chilling with cocktails in the sunshine, dining from a BBQ to morning coffee and breakfast. The bedrooms were all a good size and very comfortable beds. The main living space was large enough for gatherings. The location was perfect and within walking distance to the main street shopping, restaurants and of course beautiful Mirror Lake

Two families who enjoy the outdoors and still, after16 years of co-ownership, love each other. Our house is a great base for outdoor activities: hiking, kayaking, cycling, running, lake swimming, skiing (dh & xc) snowshoeing, climbing (out of bed), fishing, shopping, golf .... all nearby. Collectively, we've traveled the US and abroad but we do the 6+ hour drive to the Adirondacks routinely and have been doing so for over 30 years. For us, there's no other place like it.

Why they chose this property

Initially, it was location, location, location, price and potential for a great place to bring family, friends and guests. Today, it's still about location but it's potential has been realized. Our ratings, all 90 plus as of this writing, speak for themselves.

What makes this property unique

It's not just convenient to town, it's in town. Lake Placid Village center is a 5 minute walk. It's comfortable and roomy without being cavernous. Priced to be an amazing deal for multiple families. Like to cook? You'll love our kitchen. Park your car, your sister's, brother's and mothers cars (5) and forget about them. Did I mention bowling (never been).....right up and around the corner. Foodie restaurants and great drinks in rolling/walking distance. And then there's something else seldom mentioned by other owners: we have the very best property manager in Lake Placid; seldom seen but there if you ever need him.
