About this property
Bogan - Three Bedroom House, Sleeps 5
You’ll be situated in the pretty village of Coldingham known for its scenic coastal beauty and rich historical significance. Nearby, there are friendly inns serving daily meals, a craft butcher, a general store, an antique shop and the beautiful sandy Coldingham Bay (1 mile) – a popular spot for surfers and beachgoers alike. The village is steeped in history, with the remains of Coldingham Priory, a 12th-century Benedictine monastery, standing as a testament to its medieval heritage. Surrounded by rolling countryside and rugged coastline, Coldingham offers a peaceful retreat with natural splendour and historical intrigue. Visit the seaside village of St Abbs with its dive centre and nature reserve that was recently featured as a filming location for the blockbuster movie, Avengers Endgame, and enjoy wildlife boat trips or a thrilling RIB ride!
Step inside this delightful period cottage into the hall, and then into the spacious lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofas after a day out exploring the splendid coastal area and watch a movie on the TV. On those cooler evenings, enjoy cosy nights in front of the roaring multi-fuel burner. A few steps from the lounge is the well-equipped kitchen/dining area perfect for cooking up a storm to enjoy in the dining area with direct access out to the enclosed rear garden. Next is the handy utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, directly followed by the shower room. Leading back through the hall, you will find a lovely double bedroom. Heading up the stairs, there is another double bedroom and a single bedroom. Finally completing the accommodation is the bathroom with a freestanding bath, a separate shower and a WC.
Venture outside to the fully enclosed garden. You’ll have direct access from the kitchen to a small area and a few steps lead you down to the steep lawned area where there’s a picnic table for al fresco dining or lazy evening star gazing. There is private off-road parking for two cars.
