Quaint Apartment

The accommodations were perfect! The kitchenette, bathroom, and bedroom make the best use of a small space. The host communicated immediately. The location was a short walk to downtown. We will definitely come back.

A place to lay your head

The room worked for what we needed. A weekend getaway and very close to downtown. Great neighborhood! You can walk to many places and even hop on/off the trolley and enjoy a nice ride around town. The bathroom was a little awkward with a large window with the front porch sitting area directly outside. Super low shower water pressure and a sliding door that doesn't provide complete privacy. Parking is as described.

“Quaint” is right!

Tiny also applies. But as advertised. Great bathroom. Two things in bedroom. Mattress sags a tad on left side near edge. AC/heating window unit did not initially work. Found the fault was the plug, as the cord was too tight and would pull the plug loose a little. The location was just fine, in a residential area, an easy walk to downtown.

Small but nice

Very clean apartment. Furniture wasn’t very comfortable but honestly we weren’t there much to use it. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch. Convenient location as well. Would recommend if only going for 2-3 days but not longer.

Our Quaint Anniversary trip!

This was the perfect 2 person weekend stay location. Our bed was comfy, there were extra blankets (because, of course, we pucked one of the coldest weekends), and a decent sized fridge to hold our restaurant leftovers. The bathroom was good size, with a roomy walkin shower. Our only issue we had during our trip qas the window unit in the bedroom was not functioning properly. It was a cozy 72 when we arrived, but it was blowing on high and when trying to adjust the temperature, it would beep and turn on and off. We ended up having to completely turn it off all night to be able to sleep without beeping, and unfortunately the warm air. We did contact Lizy first thing in the morning and within 15-20 minutes, she brought over a fireplace looking space heater! It worked perfectly for the rest of our trip! She did inform us she is not too far down the road if we needed anything at all. I will definitely keep this location as a favorite for future trips to our home away from home!!

The apartment was perfect for our trip to St. Augustine. It was nice to have a place to park and was a mere 10 minute walk to the historic district for the Festival of Lights. Just enough space with a kitchenette and roomy bathroom. The only downside was that we needed to use the window unit to heat the room and it was a bit loud. Fortunately it was warm enough that we didn’t need it on all night. Excellent communication from the owners. It was a good value for the price we paid. I would recommend this property.

Very nice weekend

Very close to all of old St. Augustine. Lots of shops, restaurants, pubs, and many other places. It was quite chilly there and had a challenge with the AC/Heat. It seemed too warm or too cold. Never could get it quite right. Bathroom and shower was very nice however, the handle of the shower came off in my hand. All together, I would still stay there again.

Cute and cozy

It was well stocked with everything you need. I have zero complaints and just one suggestion….put some sort of opaque covering on the bathroom window or a curtain, you can see into the bathroom from the front porch. Thanks for having us we will definitely be back.

Good for a 2-day stay

The owner was personable, pleasant and promptly responsive to our needs. She outfitted the unit efficiently. I would give her the highest rating. The property itself was limited by its size. Parking required careful maneuvering for our small SUV. More countertop space and more hooks to hang clothes would have come in handy. That being said, the place was clean, renovated bathroom was beautiful, and it suited us as a couple perfectly fine in this prime location. I would stay there again.

Cozy and Quaint

I arrived in the dark, so the house number was tricky to find. I was looking next to the front doors of houses. It's on the front of the porch roof - big and easy to read. The space was the perfect size for me and would have worked with one more guest easily. The location was in a charming part of town where I saw people out for a morning walk and everyone seemed pleasant. The host was very quickly responded to my texts.

Cute, cozy, and close to everything

We really enjoyed our stay here! It’s a cute, cozy space within walking distance to downtown, but far enough away that it’s still quiet. The only issues we had were with the power outlet in the bathroom (it didn’t work which was inconvenient) and the super outdated and sort of broken tv. Other than that, it was great! I especially want to commend the cleanliness of the space.

Quaint and cozy

The pictures and description describe accurately the studio. The location is walking distance to everything. The owners are very kind and attentive. The bed was comfy. The place is updated and has what you need for a short stay. We will definitely come back! We enjoyed the porch at the end of the night. The neighborhood felt very safe.

Eclipse get away

I booked this because of its location to our friends who live in Lexington KY and the path of total eclipse. The home is located on a farm where the owners live just a stones throw away and they kept to themselves until we caught them outside with their dogs and we made contact and had a pleasant conversation. Very nice couple. The house was well kept and clean. 2 bedroom and baths with setting/tv room. The Small Town as John Mellencamp described it is not far away and has nice places to grab a bite. I would venture back here again but my understanding was they were not listing it again…I could be wrong or they changed their mind. Don’t hesitate to book this if available.

I am an English teacher originally from China, I emigrated to the United States in the late 90's to continue my career in teaching. I married my husband six years ago and we have two wonderful children. We are all loving life in Saint Augustine!

My Husband and initially had the opportunity to work from home and from anywhere so we traveled all over Florida from Tarpon Springs to Naples on the Gulf Coast and from Fort Lauderdale to Jacksonville on the Atlantic Coast. The choice was very clear the moment we set foot in Saint Augustine, we came back weekend after weekend and fell in love with everything to do with this wonderful, historic town. Saint Augustine has everything. We bought this property as our primary residence but after two years we had our first child and soon after realized the house was not really set up to raise a small child due to the house layout and the quite low porch balusters. However, we loved the neighborhood so much we purchased another Victorian house in the next street. We recently renovated this ground floor apartment specifically for vacation rental, we love meeting and making new friends all year round.

Why they chose this property

This house is in an historic residential neighborhood, peaceful and safe. Surrounded by beautiful Victorian era homes where just about all our neighbors are our friends.
It is within a few minutes walking distance to everything Downtown Saint Augustine has to offer. One of the most attractive things to my husband and I was the fact we don't have to drive anywhere except to the supermarket once a week. There is also something going on almost every weekend, festivals, art/craft shows and music everywhere.

What makes this property unique

Right in Downtown Saint Augustine!
