About this property
The Forge - cottage with hot tub hat sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
A wonderful barn renovation for 4, beautifully designed, light, comfortable and fuss-free with views over fields. This bolthole will blow your cobwebs away and restore your psyche. Wait until you see the bath! Treat yourselves to a long soak before taking refuge in a king-sized bed to sleep undersoaring beams and enjoy peace. Or catching some well-earned rest in preparation for another day of exciting activities in the other super king bedroom with ensuite.
Downstairs is a neat kitchen to rustle up supper. Rambles start from the door through lazy country lanes or it's an easy drive to the coast for supper if you're feeling lazy about cooking. Rhosneigr has tons of places to sip or savour. Sit down for a tasty meal at the Oyster catcher, pop in for a cheeky half, or simply enjoy the sandy beaches of Rhosneigr -dogs are invited. There is a long golden beach with popular all year round both with walkers, windsurfers and kite surfers. Walkers will be in heaven here!
The main beach seamlessly joins Traeth Crigyll one way or to Porth Tywyn the other way. For more dining try The Sandy Mount House at Rhosneigr. Or try Welsh fish and chips at Scarletts. For the die hard walkers, follow the waves and the coastal path leads to Aberffraw and beyond. Stop for breakfast at the Llys Llewellyn Gegin Bar and continue over to Llanddwyn. Beaumaris is a 30-minute drive but worth a visit for castles, antique shops and ice-cream. Or slip back home to the south facing patio for a dip in the hot tub and enjoy a crackling fire on the lawn.
