The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

Lovely clean, spacious, well equipped house with parking in great location - 5 minute walk into Stow on the Wold. Customer Service was excellent on booking and such a great handy app to pin to screen with all the information to hand was excellent. Thank you

the perfect Cotswold weekend
Our long weekend in Stow on the Wold was perfect from start to finish. Agatha Bear cottage was absolutely spotless when we arrived. It was easy to let ourselves in with the key in the lockbox and everything we needed to know was either sent in a message prior to our arrival date or noted down in the information booklet to read when we arrived. It was much more spacious than we imagined and the rooms were great - warm with comfortable beds. Great location for walking into Stow and spacious, off-street parking too. There really wasn't anything to complain about! We will be back!

Stunning Home
A beautiful home in an area of beauty! From entering via the key safe (so easy) this home is just perfect. Beautifully clean with everything that you would want or need. All kitchen appliances, utensils, glassware and crockery were plentiful. Beds comfy, en-suites spotless as is everywhere within the home. A few minor worries ( marks on carpet, burn to master carpet) were dealt with super quick and we were reassured. The outside area is just perfect to sit out on a lovely day and gives the whole down stairs lots of light. Great idea to have automatic night lights to aid walking upstairs at night. Only thing needs correcting is there isn’t a 3 seater recliner, which is about the only thing I could say was different from advertised. The town is just a quick 5 minutes walk from the house, the door of Turnin at the beautiful church is a must see, as is the town walk. The town has lots of eateries, independent shops and pubs which were super busy even in the week. Bourton on water is very near which is beautiful and home to the bridges as well as the model village and my hubby was delighted to visit Hawkstone Brewery and get a table at the Farmers Dog. Absolutely would recommend this beautiful home and would definitely return.

Highly recommend, will be booking again !
We had a great weekend stay ! Location was so central to stow only a 5 min walk if that to the pubs for a nice meal out! Had Sunday dinner at the Porch house and enjoyed the Indian one night plus drinks at Sheep inn and the Bell. The house was very clean, bed was super comfy and easy parking at the back. We had lovely days out, only a short drive to Bourton on the water which is beautiful. Will be back to enjoy another nice stay in this beautiful home.

Short stay in the Cotswold s
We had a lovely short stay at Agatha Bear cottage, it was the cleanest and tidiest house we have stayed in yet. The location was great, just a couple of minutes walk to Stow on the Wold town, where there are shops and restaurants. And a great location to explore the rest of the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. Will definitely return.
