About this property
Modern Townhouse in Central Falmouth, Nr Seafront!
Summary:
This modern townhouse in Falmouth has been renovated to a high standard with a minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic. Stylish and simple, it sleeps 6 with 3 double bedrooms, one with an ensuite and one shared bathroom. Located near the water, shops, and restaurants, it's just a short walk from all the local attractions. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area is well equipped, and one bedroom opens onto a secluded oasis terraced garden—perfect for relaxing after a day by the coast.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole house and garden.
The Neighborhood:
This townhouse has the best of both worlds: you're located on a quiet street in Falmouth, whilst still within walking distance of the town's vibrant centre. Within moments, you could be enjoying an afternoon tea or delicious dinner at the renowned Greenbank Hotel or enjoying a stroll along the water's edge. Some of the town's best pubs are all within a walking distance too, from the Ferry Boat Inn to the Star & Garter.
The bustling town centre is a short stroll away, around 5 minutes, and here you will find a brilliant selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants as well as convenience stores. Some of our favourite eateries include MINE and IndiDog as well as Verdant Seafood Bar and Bodega. Falmouth is a colourful town with lots to offer.
There is so much to explore in the local area. A ferry from the nearby harbour takes you over to the stunning St Mawes, which is well-known for its superb foodie ties and historic castle. Keep an eye out for dolphins too, who are known to make their appearance alongside the boats.
The coastline between Flushing and Restronguet Passage is a real local's secret, with the stunning Carrick Roads and Restronguet Creek. One of the best walks is from Mylor Bridge, following the coast path to the Pandora Inn - it's one of the prettiest spots for a beer this side of the Tamar. The historic thatched pub sits on the river, with a big jetty filled with picnic tables and a view of people paddling and crabbing in the water.
A short drive from Falmouth is the lesser-known Trebah Gardens, a tropical paradise tucked away against a coastal backdrop. The beautiful 26 acre Cornish valley garden has over four miles of footpaths where you can explore canopies bursting with exotic blooms and vibrant tunnels of colour. Finish your day with a stop off at the fantastic Ferry Boat Inn, which overlooks the Helford Passage and offers superb seafood. Or make a stop at Polgwidden Cove – the private and secluded beach, which backs onto the Helford River.
Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of Cornwall, we would usually advise bringing a car for your stay. Free parking can be found in the surrounding streets and there are also several paid car parks nearby.
That said, the house is located in central Falmouth it benefits from great travel connections. Trains run into the centre of town which are available all the way from London Paddington. There is also a good bus network to connect you with the wider area, as well as ample taxis.
