About this property
Ty Tatws, Fishguard - Two Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 4
Ty Tatws (Welsh for 'Potato House') was converted from an 18th century barn to provide an extremely comfortable two bedroom holiday cottage and it maintains a unique character with old slate and stone features throughout. The cottage boasts a host of modern facilities and provides a quiet, warm, country-style dwelling with a southerly aspect garden at the front. With exposed beams and vaulted ceilings, Ty Tatws is a character cottage centrally placed in Pembrokeshire.
One of a small group of cottages, Ty Tatws is surrounded by rolling countryside on the fringe of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a short drive from Fishguard and the charming village of Goodwick. The cathedral city of St Davids, the sheltered fishing cove of Abercastle and the charming harbour at Solva are just a few miles away along with the safe, clean, sandy beaches of Whitesands and Newgale. There are excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs throughout the area; alternatively excellent fresh produce can be obtained direct from local suppliers.
The cottage has easy access to the St Davids peninsula, numerous beautiful beaches and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. This is an ideal location for exploring the many delights this area has to offer: bird watching, walking, surfing, enjoying the stunning beaches, fishing or simply taking time out to watch the world go by.
