68 Yardie is a traditional stone fisherman's cottage in the conservation area of Yardie in Buckie which has been fully renovated. Set on the edge of the Moray Firth with views to die for. If its a short hide away or a long break away from it all this is the place to come as it has lots to do or just chill and relax.
1 super-king size bed or 2 singles in all rooms, 1 ground floor bedroom & 2 upstairs bedrooms, cosy log burning stove if its cold. large bathroom downstairs with sink, toilet, bath and shower. Upstairs there is a shower room with sink and toilet. Travel cot and high chair available on request. Wifi is included in the cost
Within the cottage there is a folder which contains a vast amount of information of thing to see, place to go and loads for the kids to do, not to mention places to eat. The comfortable and cosy cottage is situated just metres from the sea on the beautiful Moray Coast and benefits from delightful sea views Regularly you can see the dolphins from the beach.
The town centre of Buckie is just a short walk from the cottage with a selection of shops, pubs, café's, take outs and it's own leisure centre including swimming pool.
It is ideally placed to visit the abundance of quaint fishing villages and picturesque harbours littered along this part of the Scottish coastline. The stunning scenery can be appreciated as you follow the Speyside Way or Malt Whisky Trail, both within easy reach of the cottage.
Just yards from the cottage is the old Buckpool Harbour which now features a play park for younger children and football pitch.
Moray is a top destination for sea fishing, as well as Salmon and Trout fishing on the world famous River Spey and the River Findhorn. There are activities such as paddle boarding, coasteering, mountain biking, walking, hiking, hill walking, climbing and winter sports. Moray is the county of Macbeth and is steeped in history, with a wealth of castles, historical buildings and sites to explore. Moray is whisky country and has its own Malt Whisky Trail, which is a unique selling point for the area.
Moray is also central to areas such as Inverness and Loch Ness in the west and Aberdeen and Royal Deeside in the east, and so is an ideal location for day trips to many other areas in the North East of Scotland or in the Highlands.
