About this property
The Old School House - Parking & Close to City
Welcome to 'The Old School house', our Victorian Grade II listed townhouse. Dating back to the 1860's, the property boasts period accents with a modern twist and all essential amenities. This is the ideal base from which to explore the medieval cathedral city whilst having a home away from home to return back to. Salisbury's shops and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk, and sites like Stonehenge, Old Sarum and Wilton House are a short drive away.
"You can't go wrong with the Old School House. Fantastic location in walking distance to everything that matters, in particular the train station, supermarket and the Salisbury market." - Eli
Built c. 1860, the house was once home to the Headteacher of the Victorian school next door. Step over the threshold into a spacious hallway and grand staircase leading to the three bedrooms and family bathroom upstairs.
Downstairs, there is an open plan living room, kitchen and dining area, along with a utility room and WC. Enjoy a home cooked meal with friends or family around the 6-seater dining table, or venture into Salisbury to experience one of the many great restaurants on offer. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove, oven, toaster, coffee machine (pods), kettle, microwave and fridge freezer. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine in the utility room. Tea, coffee, sugar and basic condiments are provided. In winter months enjoy a cosy night in with a glass of wine in front of the fire (logs, kindling and fire starters are provided for the log burner between Nov-March).
On the first floor there are two spacious bedrooms - a twin and double, and a family bathroom with elegant bathtub (hand-held shower). Ascend another staircase to reach the huge master bedroom, boasting a superking bed, lounge area with TV and games, and study corner with desk for homeworking. You can even challenge your companions to a game of foosball/mini football or snooker!
Outside there is a small patio area with outdoor seating.
