A quaint cottage located on a family-run farm with wonderful views down the Peak District valley.. All on the Ground Floor:
Living room: Freeview TV, Electric Woodburner
Kitchen: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer
Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed Ensuite: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. External utility room with tumble dryer and washing machine (shared with other properties on-site). Front garden with garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Monks Memories is a ground floor cottage with an easy farmhouse style, enter into the kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you should require to rustle up a hearty breakfast before you head out for the day, the living room has wonderful views of the garden and the hills from the dining table, plus there is comfortable seating and electric wood burner, there is one bedroom in this property with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. At the front of the house is a garden area you can enjoy; it is perfect to sit out in on a summers evening reflecting on the day you have enjoyed. A utility room is provided and shared between the other properties on site, it is a great place for hanging wet coats or boots as well as a washing machine and dryer.
The views from Monks Retreat are beautiful, just a short walk away you have an extensive panorama or seven dales and can see far out into the distance to the high moorlands of Axe Edge and Kinder Scout. The Limestone Way trail runs directly through the farm so you can easily hope on to this for your first exciting Peak District walk, there are many in the area such as Monsal Trail, High Peak Trail and Tissington Trail to name a few. Local to the property is Buxton town which offers an array of restaurants, pubs, and shops as well as the famous Opera House that have shows on regularly, there is also Bakewell and Matlock to explore nearby as well as Chatsworth House. After you have enjoyed a fun filled day head down to the local pub ‘The Anglers Rest’ to enjoy some local ales and home cooked food.
