This stunning town lies in the Vale of Berkeley, on the western fringes of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Berkeley is a superb holiday base, hosting a dramatic 12th-century castle, a selection of amenities and the fascinating Dr Jenner’s House, Museum and Garden. On the outskirts of the town is Cattle Country Adventure Farm Park, perfect for a fun-filled family day. Spend a day in the picturesque market town of Stroud, browsing the eclectic mix of shops selling everything from fossils to fairies and vintage to vinyl, or make your way to Cirencester, home to some fabulous amenities and widely considered the capital of the Cotswolds.
For walking enthusiasts, the magical Cotswold Way can be reached in just a short drive and offers miles of scenic walks, whilst those who prefer to explore on bike can cycle through the popular Pittville Park, largest ornamental park in Cheltenham. For a welcome change of pace, the cities of Gloucester and Bristol are within easy touring distance and make for memorable day trips.
