Nestled in the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty there are many wonderful walks, cycle routes and country pubs and tea rooms to enjoy refreshments on the way. Hubbards Hills is a hidden gem on the edge of town and on the route of the popular round Louth walk.
Half an hour away along the coast are the long sandy beaches of Anderby Creek and the traditional seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe. Step back in time to Woodhall Spa, home to the Dambusters, and enjoy a runway taxi ride in the famous ‘Just Jane’ Lancaster Bomber at East Kirkby Aviation Centre. Head to Market Rasen for horse racing, always a popular day out and motor racing enthusiasts will love Cadwell Park Race Circuit which is just 5 miles away.
Lincoln is well known for its fabulous Cathedral, Castle and the new Magna Carta Visitor Centre which are 45 minutes away and well worth a day out. Enjoy lunch alongside the Brayford Wharf or walk up Steep Hill to the Cathedral Quarter where you will find many unusual and boutique shops along with tea rooms and restaurants for refreshment. Return after your travels to relax for the evening or stroll to the nearby pub just 100 yds away for a meal and refreshment. Beach 16½ miles.
