About this property

Relax at our Lodge in the Cheshire Countryside

Relax with the whole family at our lodge. It has 3 bedrooms so perfect for a family getaway. It has beautiful views and scenery. Set on the edge of the grounds of a working farm, the lodge is surrounded by fields which change with each season. There can be Pygmy goats, sheep and lambs grazing. In spring you may be able to see our baby lambs being born on the farm. Horses and cows can seen in nearby fields. There is a separate summer house which is perfect for working or unwinding with a book.
We are delighted to offer our lodge to you for your visits. It has just finished being renovated ( September 2024) and has new carpets, a new bathroom and has been painted throughout.
A grassed garden area at the side of the lodge is available during spring and summer for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Steps lead to the garden from the wooden decking.
A car is needed if you stay at the lodge as there are no safe footpaths around only county roads. There is a reliable taxi service if that is needed.
We offer a summer house which is next to the lodge which can be used as a designated working area that has a desk, chair, WiFi, electric fire and comfy chair. It can also be used for a place to relax, think and read a good book - perfect for your wellbeing.

The lodge is perfect for short stays such as weddings, family gatherings or musical events such as Rewind or Gawsworth Hall. It is also perfect for a longer stay where you explore the wonderful surroundings the local area has to offer.
Our water fountain is a perfect place for wedding photos or family photos.
We are close to the wedding venues that are held at The Plough, Sandhole Farm, Capesthorne Hall and Gawsworth Hall.
We have plenty of room for a horse trailer if attending events at Somerford Park Equestrian Centre.

PLEASE NOTE: From the 20th November until 24th December our farm is busier than normal with customers. We sell Christmas Trees and they are displayed on the farm for customers to buy.

PLACES TO VISIT
There are lots of attractions that are easy to get to such as Jodrell Bank, Alton Towers and the Trafford Centre.
For music and cinema attractions there is Gawsworth Hall and Capesthorne Hall - REWIND - which are only a few miles away.
There are beautiful historical buildings and gardens to visit at Gawsworth Hall, Capesthorne Hall, Biddulph Grange Gardens and Little Moreton Hall.
We are close to the market towns of Congleton and Macclesfield which offer an array of shops, pubs and restaurants. Alderley Edge and Wilmslow are also within easy reach and also offer an array of shops, pubs and restaurants.
We have Macclesfield Forest, Brereton Country Park and The Cloud which offer amazing walks and sights and have plenty of parking.
