Lavender Cottage features a warm and inviting ground floor layout that comprises of a spacious kitchen and sitting room area. The modern kitchen comes fully-equipped with an Everhot stove, electric oven, dishwasher, and more. For social meal times spent cooking together, there is a kitchen island with bar stool seating for three guests. The natural light-filled sitting room offers two comfortable sofas with a Smart television, and boasting direct access through french doors to the dining patio in the garden. The adjacent dining room provides a comfortable setting for meals with a dining table offering six seats, and the neighbouring snug offers a three person sofa, coffee table, and an additional Smart television, as well as access to the garden.
Upstairs, Lavender Cottage boasts well-appointed bedrooms and bathrooms to ensure a comfortable stay. Featuring a luxurious 5' king-size bed and armchair, the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room with rainfall shower. Bedroom two offers a comfortable 4'6 double bed, with bedroom three furnished with 3' twin beds. A charming roll-top bath and separate walk-in shower are found in the family bathroom, along with other amenities. Additionally, there is a fourth bedroom hosting a 3' single cabin bed and chest-of-drawers. For convenience, a second shower room is provided on the ground floor.
Surrounded by a tree-lined, mature garden, with a generous lawn and large dining patio, Lavender Cottage sit in a quintessentially Norfolk setting. While the garden is not fully enclosed, it is fenced and features hedges for privacy. On sunnier days, guests can enjoy the outdoor seating provided in the garden, as well as making use of the charcoal barbecue for al fresco dining. Nestled in the countryside, this cottage enjoys a peaceful location, yet the coast at Burnham Overy Staithe is just ten minutes away by car, and the well-reputed The Hoste gastropub can be reached within a 45 minute walk or six minute drive. Other attractions nearby include the shops and cafe at Creak Abbey ruins, interesting tours and wine tasting at Burn Valley Vineyard, and beautiful dog walks at Barrow Common.
The Burnham Market International Horse Trials usually take place over a long weekend in late March or early April at Sussex Farm, where Lavender Cottage is situated. Please check local information for more details if you would like to stay at the property over this exciting weekend. A free entry pass is usually provided to allow you enjoy the event, which is accessible from the garden gate. Because of the size of the event there may be some noise disturbance and additional vehicular and pedestrian activity in the immediate vicinity.
