About this property
Hunter Chalets - The Bungo - Fully Catered
Summary:
The Bungo is a very special chalet. Set in one of the sunniest locations in Morzine, this family-friendly chalet has its own heated outdoor swimming pool in the garden, a hot tub and a barbecue area, making it a great choice for a summer holiday in the Alps, as well as a winter ski holiday.
The Space:
The Bungo is set over three levels and features six bedrooms, sleeping up to 14 people. There is also a sofa bed in the home cinema room, which can sleep an extra two people. All beds split to twin beds (apart from the sofa bed) making this a really flexible chalet for a holiday with friends, families travelling together and corporate groups.
Enter The Bungo and you’ll be greeted with a hallway leading off to the modern kitchen, an open-plan dining area and lounge. The dining table can comfortably seat 14 people (two extra chairs are available) and the lounge area is a cosy space to relax with a glass of wine, with curved sofas facing a feature fireplace and TV. Each of these living spaces has doors leading out to a decking area in the garden, which has a sunken fire pit and surrounding seating. There’s also a big dining terrace with two garden dining tables and 12 armchairs. Next to this is an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue area and shaded outdoor bar with bar stools.
Soak up the sunshine in the heated pool
The garden soaks up the sunshine and there is a sunken trampoline, climbing wall and swing set with a slide to keep kids happy. The garden also has sun loungers and a heated outdoor swimming pool, which is seven metres long, three metres wide and 1.5 metres deep. One end sits flush with the grass and a surrounding decking area leads you down to a patio area with a hot tub. Here, bi-fold doors take you into the lower level of the chalet, where you’ll find an incredible entertaining area with a bar, long island with banquette seating and bar stools, bespoke feature-wall wine racks, ice machine and a beer pump. The adjoining home cinema room has a projector screen and the crittall doors and curtains can be closed to give more privacy if you are watching a film. This level also has two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.
A glass and metal staircase runs from the top to the bottom of the chalet. On the top floor, there are four bedrooms. Bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 both have en-suite bedrooms, while bedroom 3 and bedroom 4 share the family bathroom. Bedroom 1 and bedroom 3 have the best views over Mont Chéry, so wake up with a fresh coffee and gaze out over the mountains.
Work out in the private gym
Outside, there is parking for four cars, a garage and a 7kw electric car charger. There is also a storage area in the garage for bikes and a bike wash station outside. The big boot room adjoins the garage and has heated boot warmers and dryers, shelves and hanging space for all your ski gear, keeping the inside of the chalet clutter-free. Next door to this is the chalet’s private gym, which has a small kitchenette, private WC and shower inside. Gym equipment includes a rowing machine, exercise bike, treadmill and free weights, so you can get in a workout during your stay.
The location is an easy, flat, 15 to 20-minute walk along the pavement from the centre of Morzine and the lifts. If you are staying with us in winter, you have the use of our on-call 24-hour driver service to take you around the resorts of Morzine and Les Gets. There is also a bus stop at the end of the long driveway with a regular, free bus service into Morzine.
