About this property

Middle Barn at Blackclough Farm

Stay at Middle Barn at Blackclough Farm, where you can enjoy true relaxation in serene surroundings, with only the sounds of a nearby river and sheep as your neighbours.

Enter the kitchen and dining area into the beautifully restored property, featuring an exposed stone wall that reflects the building’s rich history. A large window offers panoramic views from the front of the home, flooding the space with natural light. Adjoining the kitchen is a downstairs shower room - perfect after a day spent exploring the rolling hills. The lounge boasts an impressive, vaulted ceiling, a log burner, and a galleried landing, giving the space that wow factor. Just off the lounge is the first of three bedrooms.

Head up the stairs to the mezzanine level, where you’ll find two further bedrooms. The master double bedroom features exposed stone walls, countryside views, and an en-suite shower room. At the other end of the mezzanine, there is another bedroom with exposed beams and a double bed.

Nestled in the heart of the Peak District, within the dramatic Staffordshire Moorlands, the property is situated in a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the nearby opportunities for walking, mountain biking, and climbing, while the village of Flash and the spa town of Buxton are within easy reach for local amenities and attractions.

For larger groups, Middle Barn can be booked together with Blackclough Farmhouse and End Barn to accommodate up to 12 guests. Please note that Middle Barn shares an entrance and boot room with Blackclough Farmhouse, but each property has its own separate door leading to its respective side. We welcome one dog to stay at the barn for an additional charge. We kindly request that the dog be over 12 months old, and that pets are not allowed upstairs or on soft furnishings.

Please be aware, as this property is in a rural location during extreme weather conditions or peak winter periods, the road leading to the property may become inaccessible. We recommend guests plan to arrive before dark when possible, and to check weather forecasts in advance during the winter months.

We were looking for somewhere secluded and quiet to relax from a hectic work life and this gave us e
Yes it’s remote, but you can see this in the images. The property was perfect for what we needed. The log fire was beautiful and our dog loved it! We had ample space, and able to relax, watch films, and zen! The kitchen could do with a few more pots and pans for cooking. I have recommended this to my family and friends to stay! Lots of lovely locals, offering great recommendations for restaurants and the Three Shires is literally 10 mins walk. My only gripe would be the parking is limited, so if the host could ask other residents to park considerablylimit one car per accommodation that would help.

Overall a great stay, just a few things that could be improved. We would definitely return!
Loved the location, the beds, general set up was great and hosts provided us a stairgate and highchair with no problem. Loved the fire and the kitchen was well equipped. Dusty in places
