Town: Litton is a picturesque village of traditional historic stone-built dwellings and a characterful public house. This idyllic village makes the perfect place from which to explore the wonderful scenery and pretty villages of this magnificent Dale. The river Skirfare flows through Littondale, and is fed from the slopes of one of the Dales 3 Peaks, Pen-y-Ghent. Local becks and streams that contain very rarely visited, but immensely beautiful waterfalls and limestone gorges, with pools for wild swimming, are on your doorstep, with a plethora of quite rare flora and fauna and valley side woodland walks.
