The salt marshes are simply stunning, and Brancaster’s sandy beach is beautiful year-round and offers both a sunny retreat and bracing walks. There are also a series of nature reserves to explore, including the RSPB-managed Titchwell Marsh, whose reed beds and lagoons are home to nesting avocets, marsh harriers and bitterns. Brancaster Staithe is a vibrant village with a rich maritime history, offering a delightful pub, seafood restaurant and a shop selling freshly caught sea and shellfish, and local produce. Both the pub and beach are just a short walk, 500 yards. Why not enjoy a boat trip to Scolt Head Island, which is also a bird sanctuary and nature reserve.
Close by lies sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and golf, along with several award-winning places to eat after you have worked up an appetite.
