Note, this property is not suitable for work people looking for accommodation in the area, it's available for guests to book for holiday and leisure purposes.

Lane End Cottage offers open plan living accommodation, comprising a well-equipped kitchen, large dining table and comfortable seating in front of the wood-burner, plus a ground floor cloakroom. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room plus a family bathroom. Outside is a cobbled and paved courtyard with outside table and chairs.

Note, this property is served by a private water supply

There are amazing walks within the Exmoor National Park and wonderful stargazing in the dark skies reserve.


Indoor Description
The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, new dishwasher, under-counter fridge and separate under-counter freezer. Other kitchen items include microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. Two tea towels will be provided. The washing machine is located in the utility room

The TV has freeview and wifi is available throughout the property.

There is a travel cot and high chair available if required (please bring your own bedding for the cot). An iron and ironing board are provided for your convenience.

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The cottage has central heating, and a basket of logs and kindling will be provided for the wood-burner in the cooler months. If further logs are required, they can be purchased directly from the owner, or from local shops in South Molton.

Bed linen, duvets, and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.

There may be non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available.

Eco-friendly cleaning materials which are compatible with the property's septic tank are available under the kitchen sink, including washing up liquid. Some dishwasher tablets will be provided. At least one toilet roll will be provided per toilet along with hand wash.

Outdoor Description
There is a cobbled and paved courtyard area directly outside the cottage, with outside table and chairs. The courtyard is enclosed by a low level garden wall and a pedestrian gate.

The owners live next door in the farmhouse and will be available to assist you should you need any help, but otherwise would leave you to your own devices.

The property is accessed via a private drive off a quiet lane, which is about 1/2 mile from the main road, making it a peaceful location. It's approx 3 miles to the village of North Molton, which has a local pub serving food.

Easy off road parking outside the property for up to 3 vehicles, either by the side of or behind the cottage in an enclosed yard area.
Sorry, there is no EV charge point and it's not possible to charge your vehicle at the property. There are charging points in South Molton.

North Molton is approx 3 miles from the cottage; this North Devon village sits just outside the boundary of Exmoor National Park, and until the 18th century the village was an important centre of the woollen industry, and mining was also a significant employer in the parish until the 19th century. North Molton has a village pub serving excellent food - please support our local traders.

Exmoor provides a great base for walking, cycling and exploring, the boundary of the National Park is just 6 miles from Lane End Cottage. There are miles of walking routes and many pretty villages to sightsee. There are also opportunities to ride, to play golf at the famous Saunton Sands Golf Course or to visit a number of outstanding gardens such as those at Marwood, Castle Hill Estate and RHS Rosemoor. North Molton is within easy reach of the famous Tarr Steps, The Chains - a wonderful place for the experienced walker, the Tarka Trail, the North Devon coastal path. The north coast from Minehead through Porlock and Lynton to Woody Bay and the Valley of the Rocks are some of the most stunning scenery in Britain boasting the highest cliffs. The beaches at Saunton and Croyde are not far away (approx 40 mins by car).

South Molton, the nearest town, is approx 3.5 miles away and has a local market on Thursday and a farmers market on Saturday. Barnstaple, North Devon’s main market town, with its famous Pannier Market and Butchers Row – excellent for both meat and locally caught fish, is within easy reach and offers a range of shopping facilities and other activities.
