Desert Gem both child and pet friendly!

Roadrunner Alley is a 1600 square foot ranch style home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Setting at the end of a quiet cal-de-sac, this home has an open concept kitchen, living and dining room. This will be your home away from home! The seating area can be arranged for TV viewing and/or conversation area. The master bedroom features a king bed with an on suite bathroom with double sinks and a shower. The remaining 2 bedrooms have queen size beds. The hall bath has a tub/shower combination. This home is both child and pet friendly. Your 4 legged family members will enjoy the fully fenced back yard while you relax by the fire pit or enjoy a meal outside. We have installed a sun sail and bird feeders for your bird watching enjoyment, (roadrunners, Cooper hawks, Gila woodpeckers, cactus wren, Curved billed Thresher and humming birds to name a few!) You might even see other wild life such as coyotes and javelinas. With the dark sky ordinances you will enjoy star gazing from the patio! You will have easy access to golfing at Arizona National Golf Course, hiking at Sabino Canyon, Saguaro National Park East or Colossal Cave, and bike riding. It is a short drive to Mount Lemmon for winter sports or hiking. To add to all of this you will be only 2 miles to the nearest grocery store and several local restaurants. Down town and the University of Arizona are about a 35 min drive where you will find a wide selection of entertainment!

4 days and 3 nites in n.e. Tucson

Very nice inside, but very dark outside. No street lights, no Malibu lites, just a dim carport lite, which made checking in at nite dicey. Remodeled nicely, very spacious and open, beds comfy, appliances were newish. Two of our party were in 80's two in 70's, they wished for grab-bars in bath areas. Though coat hangers in closet had built-in hooks, I wanted actual hooks in closets. Only thing lacking in kitchen was meat thermometer , we cooked a big ham. All told, a good time, and a fitting place to stay at.

Our Favorite Tucson Stay!

We have been coming to Tucson for the past several years and this is the one VRBO rental that we have come back to. Renee's home is scrupulously clean, nicely remodeled, and exceptionally comfortable - including the living room furniture (which is not always the case at all VRBO rentals). It is also dog friendly and the large fenced-in back yard is great for our 45-pound labradoodle to explore - no cacti to worry about. The location is close to lots of restaurants and grocery shopping, but it's far enough away from the denser development and traffic of other northside Tucson areas. Renee lives close by and is very responsive to any questions or requests. Highly recommend!

Perfect home for our stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The huge island and large dining room table provided ample space for eating or just hanging out. There was plenty of seating area in the living room to watch TV. We loved the walk in shower in the master bedroom. Renee was a great host and was very responsive.

Tucson getaway

House was in excellent condition. Pantry and laundry room had good supplies. Saw various critters--prairie dogs,lizards, woodpeckers, humming birds, coyotes. Even saw javelinas after dark. Would rent again.

Comfy, Clean, Well stocked

I am actually from this very region of Tucson and was in town for a family event, so wanted a place near my family. I have rented many vacation rentals, and this house is easily in my top 3! The home is located in a quiet, lovely neighborhood in NE Tucson, on a large lot with Palo Verde and Mesquite trees, and I was happily entertained daily by ground squirrels and lizards, and gentle birdsong every morning. Renee seems to have anticipated every need for travelers and stocked the home with all of the necessities as well as many creature comforts, like throw blankets in the living room. From the moment I walked throught the door I was extremely pleased and instantly comfortable. Everything truly looks just as it does in the photos, and the home was very clean and well organized. Renee is a thoughtful and exceptional host, and I will happily return to this property in the future.

Perfection

Everything was perfect about our stay. The location was perfect for us, house was clean and comfortable. The flowers, pastries and fresh fruit on arrival was a wonderful surprise! Having toys, books and movies for my granddaughter was also a plus! We have stayed in many rentals and this is definitely the best stocked one. There was every kitchen item you would need to prepare food for the family. I would recommend anyone needing a place to stay in Tucson to stay here!

Roadrunner Alley

I've stayed in a lot of VRBO's over the years and this property is amongst the best of them. The house is located in a quite neighborhood in Tucson, close to grocery stores, Mount Lemmon for cycling, and Udall park which is a pickleball mecca. We loved the owls hooting in the morning and one actually stopped by for a look see, as we sat on the patio enjoying morning coffee. The inside of the house is immaculate, very well appointed with 3 comfortable beds and lots of places to sit in the living room. The large spacious open area includes the kitchen island and dining room table. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need for your stay. Lots of good quality dishes and glassware. The mudroom includes lots of extra soap, shampoo, tp, Kleenex and laundry detergent. The bathrooms were clean and bright and both had very nice raindrop showers. No complaints at all with this property. The pictures on the website are very accurate as to the condition of the house. Steve

Wonderful Tucson VRBO

Everything about the property was as pictured. Sparkling clean, updated decor, comfortable beds and plenty of comfortable seating. The quiet neighborhood is great for walking the dog and has beautiful mountain views, which you can also appreciate from the back yard. Wood was provided for the outdoor firepit and we took advantage of it one cool evening. Reasonably close to everything but not in the middle of it all. We have already booked for next year!

Exactly what we needed!

The property itself was perfect... a home away from home. The yard was great for the dogs, hiking is nearby, and we felt safe in the neighborhood. Renee is a wonderful host. Even the neighbor was friendly :)

Awesome Thanksgiving vacation!

The hospitality and the home were truly awesome! We arrived to be greeted with fresh flowers, fruit and apple strudel bites which were very much appreciated. There was a binder on the counter that had all the important information you needed and had many helpful listing of local activities and restaurants. The house was incredible and had everything anyone could want in a stay away from home. You really felt like you were at home. Special thanks to the host for making our vacation great!

A wonderful experience for our visiting family members.

Surprise Birthday Party

We needed a place for 5 adult women to spend a few days in Tucson for a family member surprise birthday party. This home was great for us with 2 baths and 3 bedrooms. They had everything we needed. Normally when renting I’ve had to buy coffee, creamer, extra paper products, laundry detergent, etc. This home had it all! We really appreciate that so much! Owners welcomed us with fresh flowers a fruit basket (great for desert hiking) and pastries! Toys, movies and children’s books were perfect for our 5 year old to wind down the day. Great location, close to all amenities!

My husband David and I moved to Tucson almost 25 years ago looking for our future! We found a wonderful city filled with many things to do but still retaining the feel of a small town. We are both now retired and wanted to share the beauty of Tucson with others. David worked as an independent insurance adjuster while Renee had her own bookkeeping firm, Dream Books. We are parents to 2 wonderful daughters and one outstanding son-in-law, all living in town! And grandparents to the two best grandchildren! (Doesn't everyone have the best grandchildren?1?) We enjoy being outside on our patio watching birds and waving to neighbors. Life is as slow paced as we want it to be.

Why they chose this property

Roadrunner Alley was passed down to us by David's family. We stayed at the home many times through the years before we moved here. We felt safe letting our young children playing out in the yard and cal-du-sac. We know that your family will make as many wonderful memories as we did in this fully remodeled home.

What makes this property unique

While desert weather is wonderful in the winter, it is a short drive to Mt. Lemon a peak over 9,000 ft elevation for all your winter sports. If you are a bike rider, Tucson is a very bike friendly city.
