About this property
The Old Post Office - Walk to Horsey Seals & The Norfolk Broads
THE OLD POST OFFICE - GREAT WALKS TO HORSEY SEALS AT THE RENOWNED HORSEY GAP SEAL COLONY AND ALSO TO NORFOLK BROADS. This is our third holiday home in Horsey (new to the Vrbo site, with great reviews on another well known site ). The Old Post Office has been carefully refurbished to create a stylish yet warm and homely atmosphere. After a day out on the beach, you can look forward to returning to the comfort of this lovely cottage.
The Old Post Office has wonderful walks to Horsey Mere on the Norfolk Broads AND Horsey’s beautiful beach (where in the autumn/winter months, you can view the many seals hauled out on the sand from the sand dunes) - with good circular walks too - past Horsey Mere, The Coastal path or both.
... Off Street Parking for up to two cars
... Lovely master bedroom with ensuite shower room
... Twin bedroom
... Bathroom with large shower cubicle, bath and WC
... Stunning and spacious, Open Plan kitchen/sitting room. The fitted kitchen has a hob, cooker, microwave, under counter fridge and dishwasher. (further fridge/freezer compartment in the utility room) There is a good sized kitchen table.
.. Utility Room with sink , washer/dryer and fridge/freezer
... Towels and linen are provided
... Large enclosed garden.
…. WIFI
As well as being minutes away from one of the most accessible seal colonies in East Anglia, it is also an easy walk to Horsey Mere (Norfolk Broads) with its iconic National Trust wind pump. The cottage's beautiful enclosed garden is tucked away at the back of the cottage. There is a garden table with seating for 4 and a bbq.

Enjoy the huge expanse of Horsey's coastline and dunes (and from mid october onwards where viewing is from the sand dunes, the unfolding spectacle of the seal pup season - (most born nov to end jan)
Visit Poppylands Dads Army themed café and the Nelson Head - both in Horsey. The National Trust Tea room, Horsey is also a good place to visit (April - Oct)
Just up the road is Sea Palling beach where you might even be tempted to try out the surf. Plenty of beaches to choose from up and down the coast.
In the summer months: Head off kayaking, sailing or motor boating on a nearby Broad. We also recommend Ross’s wildlife boat trip. Climb to the top of Horsey's National Trust wind pump and see the wonderful views across Horsey Mere.
This is the perfect base for exploring Norfolk's beautiful coast as well as The Broads with the added bonus of seeing lots of seals just an easy walk from the cottage.
