About this property
Modern Townhouse with all conveniences, set in mountains and close to the sea
The Jays is a modern townhouse in a courtyard setting in the picturesque village of Bryansford, three miles from Newcastle, Co Down. It can accommodate up to 5 adults or families with young children. A cot, high chair and stair gate are available on request.
Our house is well-equipped and comfortably furnished to accommodate families wishing to enjoy the outdoors of the Mourne Mountains, but with all the amenities of a seaside town nearby.
We are close to mountains, lakes, beaches and the seaside town of Newcastle yet only 45 minutes drive from Belfast.
Across the road from the house is the stunning Tollymore forest park, location for scenes from Game of thrones. Criss-crossed with paths, the park offers everything from a gentle stroll to a far more major hike, A popular picnic site, the park draws visitors from across Northern Ireland.
Rest and relax in this area of outstanding natural beauty or enjoy the many sports and activities the varied landscape allows.
The area around Bryansford includes everything a visitor could ask for. Less than three miles away from The Jays is the bustling sea-side town of Newcastle. In the other direction is the slightly smaller Castlewellan. Both offer a variety of restaurants, entertainment, shops and facilities to cover all but the most specialist needs. Further afield the shopping town of Newry and of course the provincial capital - Belfast, are both less than an hours drive away.
