About this property
Farm stay in former Hop Kiln surrounded by cider apple orchards near Leominster
The Hop Kiln is a tastefully restored property that comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests. Once the drying room of the former kiln, its distinctive circular sitting room and bedroom evoke a sense of history and charm and also features a large enclosed lawned garden with glorious views over the cider apple orchard. There is plenty of space both inside and out to be enjoyed with family and friends. We believe that the first impression is everything...as our guest, you can enjoy a welcome hamper with produce from the Monkland Cheese Dairy, our local cafe, so that your stay gets off to the best possible start.
When it comes to local attractions, you'll be spoiled for choice. The owners' farmland offers some lovely walks, fishing is available on the River Arrow at an additional charge and there is access to an outdoor tennis court which can be arranged through the owner. Wall End Farm is situated on the famous 40-mile circular Black and White Trail, which is characterised by the rich landscapes and the many picturesque timbered and half-timbered houses in the area. Close by, you'll find an array of country pubs and restaurants, as well as numerous apple and cider distilleries such as Newton Court and Innocent Pilgrim. Within 2 miles, there are also several supermarkets and local amenities, and you can enjoy a short walk into the village where there is a working cheese dairy and excellent tea room. The Monkland Arms is also in the village and open Thursday-Monday for simple pub food.
Wall End Farm is approximately 10 miles from the cathedral city of Hereford to the south and 10 miles from the ancient market town of Ludlow to the North. Both are full of history, offer good restaurants, and shopping, making Wall End Farm the perfect base to explore the surrounding area.
We want you to feel completely at home during your stay, and provide a range of modern amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You'll have access to WiFi, a Smart TV, and a wood barbecue/outdoor fireplace, perfect for those lazy summer evenings. There are also plenty of books and board games to keep you entertained, and plush bed linens and towels to ensure you have a great night's sleep.
