This peaceful holiday cottage can be found on a working farm, nestled on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It offers breathtaking views and is just minutes from wonderful Holmfirth.. 3 steps to entrance.

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Front garden with patio and garden furniture. 1 small dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Electric vehicle charging point. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are 6 steps in the garden.. Nestled in the picturesque village of Holme, on the southern slope of the stunning Holme Valley, these two charming holiday cottages offer the perfect escape to the countryside.
Set within a working sheep and beef farm, and accessed via a cobbled driveway, the cottages provide a tranquil base for exploring the northern tip of the Peak District National Park. The views over the valley are simply breathtaking, making them an ideal getaway for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Mount View Cottage sleeps up to six guests, while Trough Cottage accommodates up to five. Each cottage is self-contained and completely private.
However, for larger groups, the cottages can be opened up on the ground floor to offer a combined capacity of eleven. Both cottages boast a comfortable, homely atmosphere, with some bedrooms benefiting from en-suite facilities and ground-floor toilets for added convenience. You’ll also find a range of board games, playing cards, jigsaws, and books to keep everyone entertained. The garden patios are ideal for outdoor dining, soaking up the views, and relaxation. Practical features such as an electric car charging point and easy access to walking and cycling routes ensure a comfortable and convenient stay.
The Upper Holme Valley is a paradise for walkers and cyclists. With the Pennine Way running through the moorland and iconic climbs such as Holme Moss (famously featured in the 2014 Tour de France), the area offers some of the finest walking and cycling country imaginable. The cottages are also just three miles from Holmfirth, a delightful town known for its role as the filming location of the beloved BBC series Last of the Summer Wine. The area boasts plenty of attractions, including the Holmfirth Vineyard and Holmfirth Picturedrome, as well as annual events like the Music Festival, Food and Drink Festival, and Tractor Rally.
