About this property
Casa Garisenda by Wonderful Italy
Lovely apartment located in a period building right in the heart of Bologna, a few steps away from the famous Two Towers.
The apartment, on the third floor with the elevator, opens onto the bright and fully-equipped kitchen which includes an oven and a kettle, in addition to a spacious cabinet and a dining table. Through a door, guests will access the living room fitted with a comfortable sofa, a double sofa bed, a TV placed on a cabinet and a study corner with a desk, perfect to work from home. The peculiarity of this room is the frescoed ceiling and an exposed wooden beam. The bedroom comes with a queen-size bed, two nightstands with two design lamps, a dresser and a mirror.
A bathroom with shower and washing machine completes the apartment.
At guests’ disposal there will be comforts such as the air conditioning in the bedroom, the independent heating for colder days and the free wi-fi throughout the apartment.
Please be informed that the city center is a limited-traffic zone, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the parkings and enjoying the old town on foot.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
We also offer to our guests truly authentic experiences to live like a local. If interested, contact us and we will be more than happy to help you out designing an unforgettable holiday to discover Italian beauties.
Bologna is a city of art, culture and trade. The capital of Emilia-Romagna is also known as “Dotta” (erudite), being the oldest university of the West, as “Grassa” (fat) for its gastronomic delights and “Rossa” (red) for the colors characterizing its old town. Its soul is in the medieval old town, one of the biggest in Europe, dotted in taverns, workshops and theaters, characterized by almost 40 km of porticoes. In the city center there is Piazza Maggiore, where the charm of medieval buildings is perfectly combined with modernity. Not to be missed are the Fountain of Neptune by Giambologna and the Medieval Towers, “Torre degli Asinelli” and “Torre della Garisenda”, part of a rich cultural heritage preserved in several museums, art galleries and religious buildings. It is allowed to leave Bologna only after having tried its gastronomic products, among which mortadella, tortellini, ragù alla bolognese while sipping famous DOC wines from the Bologna hills! Rich in exhibitions, fairs and cultural events, Bologna can surprise you in every season.
Around 2 km from the apartment there is the central train station while the airport is 20 minutes away by car.
