About this property
Lowell Street - Cosy 2 Bedroom Home in Worcester!
Enjoy an idyllic stay in our beautiful home in the heart of historic Worcester! Whether your perfect holiday involves lots of countryside walks, exploring local boutique shops, visiting the safari park or just curling up on the sofa, our home is the ideal base for everyone to enjoy!
As you come into the home, you are welcomed into the beautifully decorated dining area, a great space to enjoy a lovely home-cooked meal (or a takeaway), with a record player and a choice of records to while away the evening with a glass of wine and a good book!
Through the dining room is our cosy living space, boasting a big comfortable sofa and armchair for everyone to use. We also have a smart TV, so you can catch up on your favourite Netflix shows during your stay or plenty of games if you are hoping for some quality time together (even if it does get a bit competitive!)
We also have a great kitchen with all the essentials you'll need to cook up a storm! Why not visit one of the great local shops for some fantastic ingredients? If the weather is behaving we also have a cute cottage style garden with seating for all, decking and attractive hue lights you can control!
Upstairs, you will find our bedrooms, one twin room and a lovely master suite, both decorated so you can enjoy a great night's sleep, ready for a busy day of exploring or just getting cosy with a good book for a few hours! Please just note that the stairs to the bedroom are a little steep. On the top floor, you will find our luxurious bathroom, this has kept character but has been newly modernized this year with a free standing roll top bath and huge walk-in shower. We hope we have thought of everything to make our home your home and an ideal getaway!
Although we do not have allocated parking there are ample car parks available nearby and drop off is not a problem. There is also limited free parking on Landsdown Crescent, which is a 5 minute walk away.
Situated in the great historic town of Worcester, you will not be stuck for things to do - as the home of Royal Worcester porcelain (you can do a tour!), Lea & Perrins (makers of the traditional Worcestershire sauce) and the University of Worcester and Berrows' the world’s oldest newspaper!
In Worcester there is something for everyone, whether that is exploring the cathedral, having a fun day out at Worcester race course, the Commandery, ambling along the cobbled streets full of historic houses, national trust treasures or popping in to the plentiful boutique shops and independent delis and wine bars.....all within walking distance of our beautiful property!
We are also lucky enough to be nestled in the Arboretum next to the canal which offers a towpath for miles of canalside walking or cycling. Worcester boasts great history as the composer Elgar grew up in the city - enjoy the Elgar trail, a 37 mile circular suggested route through the stunning Malvern Hills countryside, view the cottage he was born in, sample some of the Malvern hills spring water (the choice of our Royal Family for more than 400 years) or attend the yearly Elgar festival that hosts spectacular concerts in the Cathedral.
If classical music is not your thing Worcester has a vibrant theatre and music scene with a plethora of concert halls, pubs, breweries, cafes, theatres and bars hosting live music, plays, comedy and open mic nights. Worcester also hosts Fakefest and Worcester music festival...well worth going to and great fun!
If you do want to use your car there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas - Cadbury world, Lego land, a steam railway, the world famous Severn bore, Uptown with its renowned riverside folk festival, The Cotswolds, Warwick castle and a safari park. We are also located 10 minutes from the motorway and have excellent transport links with 2 railway stations and a direct link to Birmingham and London.
Not only does the city boast a fantastic entertainment scene (including the very popular Victorian Christmas market!), we also offer plenty of choice when it comes to eating out, whether it is a deli breakfast, a romantic meal, fun for the family or a Sunday roast next to a log fire - also all within walking distance of our home! Everything is easily accessible yet our road and the streets of the Arboretum remain quiet and you won't be disturbed.
