Cosy 2 bed house with private parking and garden easy access to central in Bath
Forget all your worries such as finding parking space or how to get around in this cosy and serene house in Bath!
Our newly decorated and furnished house sleeps 4 guests in comfort, and can take away the hassle of parking in a busy city by offering you private off road parking and a regular fast bus service into town only 5 minutes walk away. You can drive to centre in 10-15 mins.
We have a large supermarket only 5 minutes walk or drive away. Open countryside very close by.
You can enjoy the World Heritage site of Bath with all the culture, historic architecture and hustle that this fabulous city has to offer. You can also explore the beautiful countryside and many outdoor activities around Bath.
At the end of the day, this is your home away from home during your time in Bath
About the property
You'll find your holiday home on the south side of Bath, with private off road parking on the driveway outside our bright, minimalist and cheerful house.
Downstairs there's an open living and dining space, comfortably furnished with a sofa, armchair and dining table for four people. There's a 55" smart TV and good WiFi. The space has a warm ambience for comfortable evenings and interesting conversation. The fully equipped kitchen has an induction hob, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A downstairs cloakroom and handy cupboard for coats and shoes completes the downstairs floor.
A patio door to the landscaped rear garden opens out to the patio for lazy summer evenings.
Upstairs you have two cosy double bedrooms - one with a king sized bed, the other with a standard (140cm) double bed. Both beds have comfortable Egyptian cotton sheets, and both rooms have desk, chair, side tables and a wardrobe or clothes rack.
The main bathroom has a bath and shower, and is supplied with essential toiletries for your arrival.
The entire house is recently decorated throughout, with newly installed kitchen and bathroom facilities.
Getting around
Several bus lines to Bath city centre, which is about 2.5 miles away, or you can avoid city centre parking on busy days by taking the Park and Ride - only five minutes walk away from the house, the bus runs every 15 minutes from 6:15am on Monday-Saturday and from 9:30am on Sundays and public holidays. Return buses run until 8:40pm Monday-Saturday and 6:10pm on Sundays and public holidays. The bus journey takes only 10 minutes to get you to the city centre.
This quiet residential area is located on the main road, so you will be on the main thoroughfare when you drive or walk in. Your holiday home is the first house on the left in one of the lanes, The neigbourhood is close to South Stoke and Combe Hay, which are great places for walks.
Exploring and adventure
Bath, a world heritage site, offers a plethora of attractions. Spend on afternoon exploring the Roman Baths, where the atmosphere feels like it has endured for two millennia. Admire the elegant architecture in the heart of Bath visit Jane Austen's former residence, and savour a hearty lunch at Sally Lunn's famous tea house.
As well as the town centre, you can visit nearby picturesque villages including South Stoke, Midford and Combe Hay, as well as Norton St Philip with historic 14th century George Inn. Each of these villages has its own English pub, with The Packhorse in South Stoke being recently saved by the local community.
Bath, a vibrant city and a cultural hub, offers a range of attractions throughout the year. From the annual Bath Festival, which showcases music and literature, to Bath Rugby matches and summer music concerts, there's something for everyone. Additionally, the Jane Austen Festival, Carnivals, and the renowned Bath Christmas Market provide further entertainment and cultural experiences.
